1 - grap a semicircular ball, with a flat area to place your hands. Then do regular pushups - harder b/c you must be stable.
2 - do supersets. Do 4 sets with 1 - 1.5 min breaks. Do your Max, then 3-5 less twice, then on the last set do as many as you can. These are hell for me.
