You seriously needed to be told you shouldn't run from the cops or believe them?

I have never been arrested, only gotten a few tickets. (Well there was that time I did get arrested sort of but they let me off with a warning because I didn't tell them anything.)

No. It was the 'don't tell the truth' part I needed to know.

Oh. Well why would you tell the police the truth?

5. No Searching.
Do not allow the police to search anywhere! If the police officer asks, they do not have the right to search and must have your consent. If you are asked make sure you proclaim to any witnesses that “You (the police) do not have consent to search.” If they perform the search anyway, that evidence may be thrown out later. Also, if you consent to a search, the officers may find something that you had no idea you had placed somewhere, ie: marijuana left by a friend. Remember, that denying the police consent to search DOES NOT give them the probable cause they would need to conduct a search.

The above isn't exactly true. "Terry vs. Ohio" says that an officer is allowed to search a detained person for weapons as long as the officer can justify a suspicion that the person may be armed. So, in that case, consent is not needed. It also extends to cars and the immediate area the driver and/or passengers can reach within that car.
