Firefox Spell check

Postby bedub1 on Thu Aug 21, 2008 10:38 pm

It's not very accurate.

It doesn't like these words:

Microslut
plugin
remoted

I'll edit when I find more....i have to keep adding them to the dictionary cause it keeps underlining real words.

I come across red line words all the time, like colour , or behaviour, or neighbour.
In Canada these words are correct.
There are many more.
What is really annoying is that if I use the spell check versions, they come up as misspelled when I have school work to hand in, and as a result I Iose marks for spelling.

You CAN download dictionary's... I'm using the English (Canadian) one, and colour isn't highlighted but color is.
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/browse/type:3
You can also right click and pick "Add to dictionary"

Well I just installed the English US dictionary....it still reports my previous words as misspelled...but I'll see if it makes a difference for anything else.

Ya, I'm pretty sure that's what it defaults as if you download the English version.

Just turn it off.
"Some motherfuckers are always trying to ice skate uphill."

Duane: You know what they say about love and war.
Tim: Yes, one involves a lot of physical and psychological pain, and the other one's war.
