SNL Tonight?

America seems to have another major media outlet for politics...the entertainment (in particular: comedy) industry. Comedy Central has being doing a great job in making fun of the candidates, of which it seems McCain/Palin have been getting the brunt of the jokes, and SNL has been having a hay day with the whole Palin frenzy. It seems that it is just expected that our political candidates do comedy skits for us on these entertainment venues.

From Obama to McCain and now Sarah Palin, SNL will probably have one of the most watched episodes in its history! I know I plan on watching, and I never watch SNL anymore.

Do you guys plan on watching Palin on SNL tonight?

I was so pissed that last weeks was a rerun of the only episode I'd seen since Palin's nomination.

Yes I'm looking forward to it and yes Jon Stewart, Steven Colbert and many of the other comedy news programs have been doing great with their spoofs.

My only reasoning is that they got her scheduled too late for the show to script her into several places. But I'm not thinking that is the case.

I think if SNL would have scripted her too much, Americans would think that she would make a better SNL cast member than a VP! She sounded pretty good on Weekend Update when she actually talked! She didn't really look like she enjoyed that skit until the stupid guy in a Moose costume came out and got shot. She seemed generally offended by the dancing "eskimos" and that guy dressed up in an Arctic Cat jump suit and supposedly mimicking her husband Todd.

I fell asleep just before SNL started, so I missed the whole intro!

Then I got tired and fell asleep again after Weekend Update...what else did I miss? Probably not very much...

I was very disappointed as well.

I've never really watched SNL, so after she didn't come back on for quite a while after the intro, I changed the channel. I didn't see the Weekend Update stuff, but what you posted does sound more offensive than humorous.

Yeah, I thought it was quite tasteless myself, and that SNL was trying to offend Palin. As for watching SNL, I am with you, I never do...and I found the reason why: There are too may commercials!!! You have a freakin' commercial spotted after every fucking skit segment! It's ridiculous.

I did enjoy McGruber (a comedic parody of McGyver) especially when he shot a ping pong ball out of his ass, trying to get money for his heroin addiction. :lol: :lol:
