While I did enjoy the first Fable, selling the game on being able to choose between good and evil isn't as exciting as it was in the first one. Seems every other RPG has a good/evil system now. Personally, I'd be more excited if they said that it would give you more options than Saint/Satan.

Actually, there are. They've also incorporated other guages that operate seperately from the standard good/evil gauge. The more talked about one is the corrupt/pure gauge which depends on how you treat your body and other people. Ripping people off, eating meat and getting drunk will make you more corrupt. Being an honest, vegan who abstains from drink will make you pure. You can be pure and evil (Hitler, I guess, who drank little and was a vegetarian healthnut), or a fat hero.

Another feature: deciding between protected and unprotected sex. That's right: you can get STDs or even preggers. Whoooooo~

Anyways, you won't catch me waiting in a 5-mile line for this game, but I'm excited.

I got this excited for the first one, and, while it was a good game, it was not what it was touted to be. Fable was the game that made me realize that I shouldn't put so much credit into television advertising.

Fable II should be a good game, though. However, I'll be waiting a bit to buy.

Was one of the original games that let you choose between a good path and an evil path, and let you live life as a towns person in between various quests. You could marry, have relations outside that marriage, beat up on your kids, spend all your time drinking...it was an interesting game in that sense, but I just could never really get into the combat.

Didn't pre-order it. Didn't wait in line. Wasn't even in a proper vidja game store when I saw it, I was browsing for music.
I bought Fable 2, and can hardly wait to try it out!

Wait, what? Is there any kind of incentive for having unprotected sex? I mean, it's not like it's going to "feel" any better to press the A button instead of the B button, or whatever.

That sounds like the dumbest idea for a game ever. Or at least like a game that High School Health Class would make you play, and by play, I mean be incredibly bored by.

Kids. If you have unprotected sex with your "wife" in the game, you have children, which adds to your "renown" score and skews your good/evil towards the good side.

This is just a very small part of the game. Basically it's an adventure game...a modern version of "Zelda". You know, get the treasure...complete the quest...buy bigger weapons from the shops...etc They just added a whole "social" aspect to the townspeople. Some are straight, some are gay. There are prostitutes and "good girls". There are evil cults where you must sacrafice innocent people and churchs doing good. Just like in life, you make your choices as you play the game and your character changes as you go. It is a very deep & complex game I am finding. The sex thing is cute, but a novelty.

Admittedly, its not for everyone...some people prefer games where you just run around and shoot things.

And some people prefer real life, which is fully interactive, has amazing graphics and sound, and if played responsibly can actually improve your health.*
