Scientists at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond found that women were right about whether or not their partner was faithful 80 percent of the time, while men were correct 94 per cent of the time. Men detected 75 percent of the reported infidelities, compared with 41 percent found by women.

Well for me, it has been quite the opposite. I've been cheated on/about to be cheated on in a couple of different relationships now, and they are always the ones that are paranoid, controlling, and jealous.

To be honest, I'd have thought your experience was more the norm, Mat, at least as far as the controlling jealous part goes. As for cheating, I dunno - I think that's something both sexes do albeit for different reasons.

It's entirely possible that some guys are refusing to play "[our] silly little games," but on the most part I think they're just too dense.

No, we're just very simple. We do not understand why our girlfriend wouldn't just say what they're thinking. We grew up in an environment were you say what you want to say and don't use things like "subtleness" and "hints". This is why we hate it when women ask us what we are thinking. We aren't thinking something romantic you would love to hear but probably something about how cool cars are or more likely absolutely nothing. If I was thinking something you would care to hear you would already have heard it!

1. No, women are all stupid because they fail to realise that 'hints' are a crap method of communicating. Are Supreme Court judges 'dense' because they wouldn't be able to understand a statement of case written in 'leet speak'? God I hate when I'm asked what I'm thinking. Half the time I don't even know if I was or wasn't thinking about something.

Forget getting womens' hints, it's hard enough to translate what they actually say. Half of the time "no" apparently means "yes" and I think "it's ok" always means "it's definitely not ok". It's like trying to decipher a foreign language that uses all familiar words.
