This is just an example, but there are many, many towns and cities all across the US of A going bankrupt. The problem isn't entirly ignored, but I don't think it's getting fair air time with the election coverage going on.
Is your town affected, and what will happen once they all start to go? Will police be forced to write more tickets? Will judges hand out higher fines? Will the Feds bail you out for a stake in the city government? Will a corporation bail you out like in Robocop ?

Same pretty well goes for Wyoming. While most other states are going bankrupt, Wyoming is making a huge surplus (well over a billion in emergency funds for a "rainy day" here).
