Once again a reminder that this tournament is different than many that you have played.
Like any tournament, if you are Red and the Skier, or Green and the Hill, you want to win. As quickly (by number of turns) as possible. As the skier, each turn represents a second added to your score. As the hill every 4 turns represents a 4 second block to be subtracted.
The different part:
If you are losing, don't concede. If you concede you are helping you opponent and hurting yourself. Each map is only 1/10th of the race.
If you are the hill and the skier is winning, make him[/size] take as many of the twenty turns as possible. They each add a second to his score.
If you are the skier and the hill is winning, make him take as many turns as possible. For example: you are on turn 10 and losing. If the game ends your opponent will get a -8 seconds added to his score. If you can drag the game out to turn 13, he will only get -4. 4 seconds over the course of the race could be your margin of victory.
So don't give up early
