1990, the Cold War was coming to a close, jay. The USSR (if I'm not mistaken) fell in 1991. The "New World Order" was basically a hope for a better future not so blood stained as the previous 50 years were.

I think it fell in 1989, when the Berlin Wall came down.

This isn't a history test, its a study of cause and effect links, and whatever the "official" version is, the reprecussions of political collapse were felt by the late eighties at least.

True. And I agree with you that 1985 was probably the year that forecast the collapse of the Sovjet Union, but the actual fall was in 1991. When jay proclaimed the fall was in 1989, he didn't offer any explanation why he thought so so it isn't really much of a stretch to call him an idiot.

back in nov. 06 when i joined up, jay was certainly a bit of a different thinker, and was well known as having his opinions they way they were. Im not here to say the change is good or bad, but the year has marked a bit of a change in some of his perspectives.
