I'm gutted that I've never seen the Roses live, but I've seen Ian Brown live a few times and you're right - he can't sing for shit - but even at his worst he was still a damned sight better the Seahorses (John Squire's solo-career band)...

Good as Ian Brown's albums are, the best thing that came from the Roses' split was Manni joining Primal Scream. They were a good band to start with, but from Vanishing Point onwards the Scream have really kicked arse. Now there's a band to see live..!
Screamdelica is in my top 10 all-time albums too. I really should give their later stuff a listen. I have never felt able to stomach the inevitable disappointment.
