RISK Colors

Here's an idea I had (unsure if this has been covered or not):

I think it would be cool - now that there are 8 colors - for us to be able to specify a color when we join a game. The more people that have already joined, the less choice you have...

This should be in suggestions and bug reports, but hey, I'll answer anyways.

I quite like this idea, but you should have, say, an option in your profile to give each colour priority. So you could have say:
Red - Priority 1
Green - Priority 2
Blue - Priority 3
ect.
If you join a game and there is already somebody as red, then it just goes to your next priority. If somebody is that colour, then it just goes down to the next one. And so on.

I like the idea, but it may be a lot of work for someone on the site...not sure if it's worth a big overhaul...but if it's a simple change it would be a nice option.

i can't answer or this thread might get merged with another, then sent off to die in another, lesser visited section of the forums... i'm just letting it all go... i'm sticking to posting in threads about colour choices, rigged dice, and blitz's lists... those seem safe. AND, i still think this choosing your own colour is a bad idea...-0

Yeah, it's kind of unnecessary, but it would be a nice feature. I know that since I'm usually the second to sign up for a game I automatically look for green, which can make games where I'm another colour slightly confusing. So yeah, if it's not too much work it'd be nice to have a choice/preference feature but I don't think it'd be worth a total reworking of the system. (It shouldn't take a total reworking, but you never know.)

With a little patience players can always have the color they want in every single game.

since this will probably get moved to the appropriate forum I'll add...
It would be nicer than a color choice for players in a game to be able to click on a button
that sends a secret email to players informing them that it's their turn.

I wasn't making a remark about it's "necessity". I just thought it would be a good idea.

I do like the idea of "rating colors" on your profile.

Maybe not worth an overhaul of the system. Maybe it would be good to add as a perk to buying a "Premium" membership
