These groups are created to give feedback on areas where ConquerClub can be improved and where significant focused discussion between CC and the community are needed. They will have only one task each and will be dissolved once an "end point" has been reached, whatever that end point may be. They are not guarantees of the project being discussed getting implemented, or being implemented in the fashion suggested, but they are concrete steps in that direction.
We would like to open up the following Ad-Hoc groups:
Dice: We are looking for a very small group of people who know what they are talking about - mathematicians, statisticians, probability people and of course people who understand randomness. You will need to prove that you know what you are talking about before we let you into this group...and a summary of the wikipedia entry on randomness does not count
Tournament Tools: We have been waiting on Rivals for a long long time now. The time is coming where one of two things will happen - 1) Rivals gets released and we will need to tweak it to our specific purposes or 2) we give up waiting and bring coding in-house.
Either way, we need Tournament Organizers and regular tournament players to join us and debate what tools, reporting and features would best go into the ideal tournament tool. You will either need to have organized or participated in at least one Conquer Club Tournament to join this group
Scoring: People have long debated our scoring system and the pros and cons which our approach has. Inflation is happening, there are potential abuses, risk-taking is restricted at higher levels, etc. We are looking for a very forward looking debate on new ways to calculate, organize and implement a low-abuse, low-restriction, high-incentive system. There are no requirements for joining this group except ongoing and focused contribution
These ad-hoc groups are not special privilege groups, they will not get you "closer to the admins" and will not make you more likely to be made a mod (so don't ask!

To apply, PM me the group you would like to join and why you think you can contribute to that group if there are requirements.
Have a good one,
Twill
