It's not now. But at the next election polls show that the socialist democratic block has over 50% of the votes so hopefully it will turn back to the old days. As a matter of fact before the last period socialist democrats had ruled for over 36 straight years.

Australia just got a new government, and apart from all this inflation (which was bound to happen) it seems great.

Australian living standards are meant to be the best in the world, I think. We, the last time I heard, have the highest average life span for European Australians (Indigenous aren't quite so good though, unfortunately). Apparently meant to be the best country in the world..
