What do you think about series of maps that covers balkan wars:

1. The Yugoslav Civil War

Phase I



I need help about names of territories, because my are too long and
maybe incorrect. Those in FBiH and South Croatia particularly. If there is
anybody from Macedonia help me about names of Macedonia territs. I
need exact names and it to be written in Macedonian Cyrillic alphabet.
Also I need a lot of historic data.

And one more thing, wounds from this last conflict are still fresh so those
who can't keep their nationalistic feelings for them self better skip this
post. I wish it to be fair and correct in the terms of history and everything
else. If there is any error it is not intentional, so no need for nationalistic
out bursts. Point to error and if it is real i assure you it will be correct.

Yes i know. It is miserable but... even that is a good "color" start.

Can anybody help me with that granular, dotty look of Serbia and BiH. It is probably because of darker colors. What tool i could/should use to fix it

I put this map in attempt to animate you to participate more in final map. I hope that we will create it together. I need for example a suggestion about Croati, cause there is too many territs to defend but it could be compensated with the fact that Greate Croatia Project is easier to gain (at least with this territs configuration) than Great Serbia Project. And that is only if we keep Win Conditions which makes more sens to me.

Belgrad terittories is to big. I think that in Wikipedia you can find very good information abouth Provinces .
Also Max size is 800x800(large map) and 600x600(small map)

Yes INk is little right, you have wrong Tittle, if you want to create Balkan Wars,then you must include Turkey,Grecce,Romania,. Or you thinking on Yugoslav Civil War 1991-1995?

would prefer 1991-1999

if you want to play balkan wars 1912-13 you must not include slovenia and bosnia and croatia becaust these was all austo-hungary

and you could make city sarajevo devidet in 3-4 sections and with all sections you will get extra bonus (sarajevo was devidet in some sectore during the war)
and you could make each city a bonus
and i dont understand why +1 fot BiH and kosovo because kosovo have nothing to do with BiH it is devidet between srbija and albania??

The initial idea was to create a series of map that covers all major wars on
Balkan peninsula:

1. Balkan Wars (1912-1913)
2. The Balkan campaigns of World War I (1914–1918)
3. The Balkan campaigns of World War II (1940–1945)
4. The Yugoslav wars (1991–1999)

But I think that qwert will make best map for 3. So i take the rest and
started with 4. with no particular reason.

To qwert: about Belgrade you are right it is too big, but i wanted it to "touch"
most of territs. And that about max size 600x600dpi is terrific. I look at
your eastern front and configuration of that region is similar to
Yugoslavia but i cant make it smaller because ... territs names... I ...

To tenio: Color, but of course. As soon as i buy new PC - GPU, cause i
have ThinkPad T21 (ancient history) and my AutoCAD 2005 begs for
mercy. GPU in this laptopp is... bahh... i dont even wanna think about
it.

To EatMeat: Yes, in 1912 - 1913 war Slovenia will be a part of austo-hungary.
That about Sarajevo divided 3-4 sections is one good idea. It could be
zoomed and placed somewhere aside. About Kosovo. One gets bonus
if already holds Serbia, but i write it wrong. I see you are from
Slovenia, so what do you think about territs names of Slovenia?

Thanx everybody for suggestions. To be honest i didn't expect it to be this

I'm not really sure a whole series on this is necessary... one map is fine, but if you make so many maps of the same region, you'd have to get really creative in terms of gameplay, or risk major redundancy.

Well it is the same region but Yugoslav civil war (as qwert put it) cover only a part of Balkan while WWI map will cover entire Balkan. Same map for WWI could be used for 1912-1913 conflict so that makes only 2 maps (some series). Good for me.
I only hope that you like at least this one.

it mihgt be better to call these map yougoslavija civil war or colapse of yougoslavija

as for slovenija regions hmmm i would do some changes and it would be perfect but it is still wery good now
notranjsko-kraska would be better primorsko-kraska
and podravska if you would put the border between ljubljana and podravska like these \ (now it is like these __ ) these would be stajerska region poit the border more to zagrebas close to zagreb as it can be

Yes I would play it but when your colouring it make it really bright and colourful! other from that it's nice!

Well 1912-1913 map not include Slovenia and Croatia,and Bosnia(he whas anexed from AustroHungarian 1908) But include Grecce,Bulgaria,Romania.Montenegro and Turkey(otoman) and these will be very very Diferent map from Yugoslav Civil War 1991-1995(or is 1996)

also if your creating a map of the yugoslav wars 1991-1995 (i fought in bosnia btw) you must be very careful to be as fare as possible and don't upset the ethnic groups here, such as serbs, albanians and so on, that's the recipe for success!

It could be easier if you break down Croatia into subterritories to gain and a larger bonus for the whole country.
In Croatia, we distinguish 4 key areas of the country: the South (from the southeast tip to just past Zadar), the Central (from Zadar to and including the general Zagreb area), the North (from just east of Zagreb all the way out east) and Istra (which is the peninsula bordering Slovenia and Italy)

Good map idea though!
