Changes: Additions and Subtractions

Post by AndyDufresne »

Ahoy Ahoy Foundry Members,

As some of you may know, the Foundry has stalled a little in recent times. Coleman, our beloved Map Ideas and XML C.A., and long time friend and cartographer is taking a leave of absence from the Foundry and Conquer Club. We all wish him well and hope he comes back soon.

Because of Coleman's leave of absence, I (with the assistance of the C.A.'s) have been working busily behind the scenes. We are happy to announce that for now, Lanyards will be our Interim XML Helper, checking over the XML of all maps in Final Forge. He'll be following the same process and steps set down in place by Coleman. I'll be giving out the XML stamps once I've received word from Lanyards that the XML has passed his inspection.

***Please note that Lanyards is not C.A., (I.E. Moderator), so contact either Oaktown, Gimil, or Myself if you have any moderation related issues.***

Gimil will also be Interim Map Ideas C.A. in addition to his Graphic C.A. duty, following the guidelines we've currently set in place.

And Oaktown's status is normal...he'll continue checking on Game Play Mechanics.

===============================

In other news...

The C.A.'s know that I've long had the mantra: "You don't need an official title or position to help out in the Foundry." So to expand upon this mantra, we're happy to announce that Unit_2 will be assisting us in maintaining the Developmental Atlas. He'll be checking and updating the Atlas once a week or so to reflect any changes that have occurred (I.E. New maps from the Map Ideas, maps moved from Main Foundry to Final Forge, Quenched, etc). We're happy to have his help!

In the future we may look for more "Foundry Helpers" to assist the C.A.'s and myself in the Foundry. So keep checking in. :)

Lastly, I'm sorry for my recent absence, but now that I've less to do behind the scenes and I can move back into the Foundry Front!

Alright? So lets get back to Map Making...and make sure to take the time to eat a banana.

Don't now why people on here don't like being cooks, remember under siege: A former SEAL, now cook, is the only person who can stop a gang of terrorists when they sieze control of a US Navy battleship.
