Do you mean old version, older looking version, or something else by that comment?gimil wrote:Definetly the old

I can try, but im not sure how successful it will be though.Ogrecrusher wrote:I think you should detatch the Isle Of Wight and Anglesey from the mainland. (Not as a new territory, just graphically).
I am trying to finish it, but it takes time, the major hold up is the XML.hulmey wrote:finish this already
That will be changed to fit in with the other fonts/golws on the map when the final style is decided on.yeti_c wrote:I dislike the Glow around the text in the "Castle Connections" box...
C.
I think the text is too intense, more obvious in the blue, i might try using a greyer type font.t-o-m wrote:i dont know why, but i dislike the blue text without the slight glow, with the slight glow it looks ok/good.
^in my opinion
It is possible, but i dont know if it will fit the territories as easily.edbeard wrote:Is it possible to increase the size of the text by one point or two? That might help a lot.
The castle connection box was added in a hurry, i really need to redo some of it.edbeard wrote:On the map the territory seems to say Brega. On the castle connections legend it looks like Broga. I suppose the e just looks like an o when the font is that small. Maybe there's a different font that could be used that still fits the style but is more readable?
The colours only became too bright recently, but i can tone it down. As for the borders, they need to be crisp, so that you can see that every room cant attack every other room in the castle. THe boxes used to have a drop shadow, which made them fit better, i dont know where it has gone, i will have to check on that.asl80 wrote:The most obvious thing is that the graphics of the castle floor plans/insets do not come close to meeting the standard of the rest of the map ... they still seem in thier rudimentary form of development ...
- they look very "boxy" and pixelated,
colours are too bright ... or else they need to be smothed over a bit, hehe, given a bit of a smudge to lose thier hard edge, but really, maybe they just need to be tied into the map alittle more (i.e., they look a little out thier place)
It seems that the font could do with a change, i will have a look around and see what i can find to fill the need of the font...asl80 wrote:- can't read the name of the town where london is now ... infact, most of the names (and the glows certainly don't make it easier ... it's a beautiful font, but for these purposes it seems like it needs to be spaced out a bit (i.e. between letters), or something like that).
yes!Telvannia wrote:I think the text is too intense, more obvious in the blue, i might try using a greyer type font.t-o-m wrote:i dont know why, but i dislike the blue text without the slight glow, with the slight glow it looks ok/good.

I'd agree on both points - glow is a must, text could be a bit bigger since you're losing parts of the letters (look at the "t" in Gate). The text on the water could stand out a bit more as well.lighteningbrain wrote:I think the territory names need to be made bigger or a clearer font, but I like the glow.
Also, if you made the caslte plan borders a bit thicker then I think that would be clearer and you could also get away with sftening the edges a bit.

I went for Northumbria... But wessex is also good... I really like the Pictland one theme wise - but it's just not legible.edbeard wrote:wessex is the best I'd say
north umbria is second
wales third
I don't get the vote for Mercia. That one doesn't seem that readable to me.
