Question about rating...

Hello all,
I have a question about ratings. I recently have played a couple of 1v1 games and the people I played with left me low rating for no reason. I know its been said that it will eventually even out but it just doesn't seem right to me. Can someone explain how this is fair?

From your worst rating for a 1v1, you got around 3s. You should note that 3 is average, so you are average.

You received a few low scores for a game that you started and then deadbeated. People don't usually like that.

I also received a 1 star rating from a player that has since been removed from the game. Looking at the game there wasn't any chat or anything that would cause this player to give me such a rating other than him getting wiped out. I agree with hawker, how is this fair? especially since he has been removed from the game. The players name was JimmyE1962 and the game was 2569665. Its irritating when someone gets pissed because you beat them and retaliate by giving 1 star. The strange thing is how/why he got wiped.

Aye, I didn't mean to do this. By accident I hosted a speed game without knowing, so I carelessly went to bed. I realize this happened and take the consequences although I wish it wasn't so because my intent was not to deadbeat.

Also, I have left 5 star rating for people and you would think that they would reply with 5 stars but not yet.

By the time they see your rating, they will not be able to rate you... that is supposed to keep folks from giving retaliatory feedback.
