Yeah - exactly the same - usually the install box is in the top right.

I don't know if it's been recorded but I consistently (probably at LEAST 33% of the time) have problems when deploying. It suddenly gets capped at a certain number, like 5. Even if I have 40 armies to deploy, I can use the mouse scroll to go up and down only between 1-5. It shows 5 as the limit, and I will continually have to deploy 5 over and over again. If I go to the drop down menu, I can select 40, and then the number on the map shown when deploying shows 40 accurately over the territory. However as soon as I click "down" on the mouse wheel, it auto reverts back to 5 being the max, until I fix it i nthe drop down menu again.

also, i'm pretty sure this only happens when you deploy after eliminating another player and taking their cards.

i'm working on it...

ps. i dont see what would be wrong with just letting it not work at the end.

spike, your point is well taken. i will change the next version to, if anything, just display a small error message in red text somewhere on the page, like right below the map, instead of popping up an alert every time.

So, does this only do Autoattack and auto-advance?
Or can I do regular attacks and not advance if I don't want to?

yes you can. you can auto-attack, auto-attack/advance, attack-until-I-have-X-armies-remaining(/advance), or regular attack. all controls are thoroughly explained in the user guide (after clickable maps is installed).

i have no idea why that would be happening -- the only way i know how to highlight the whole page at once is to type ctrl+a. i've been running clickable maps since i wrote it over six months ago, and i've never seen that happen just from right-clicking. not sure what else to tell you...

Here's a bug: http://www.conquerclub.com/game.php?game=2638613

I bombarded using right click auto-attack with the <<ctrl>> feature, typed in that I wanted to stop attack at 10, just in case I had epic fail dice... and, lo and behold, it just kept on bombarding the remaining 1 over and over ... I had to prematurely end the attack to avoid losing 15+ armies needlessly! There must be a way to check for annihiliations in the script and end the attack??

thank you for pointing out this bug. somehow, in over six months, no one has caught this yet -- including myself (at least, no one has said anything about it). i admit that i have never tested bombardment with the ctrl+attack feature. it just never came up. so thanks again, and i will incorporate a fix for this in the next release.

let's say i click on a terr too fast-- it turns the map [to highlight] like you're copying the page. does that explain it better ?

right, i think i understand what you're saying. you're saying that when you right-click the map to perform some action, the whole page becomes highlighted -- like when to type ctrl+a, or right-click and then choose 'select all' from the right-click menu, correct? if i understand you correctly, i have never seen that behavior before.

what OS are you running? are you using firefox? what version? any other details you can provide about exactly what happens and what you are in the process of doing when this happens might also be helpful.

Actually the only time I right click is to drop armies, i hold [alt/shift] while left clicking the terr's to auto and advance.
The first terr is fine, but come the second and terr's thereafter I'm playing behind the highlighted (blue) screen.

I'm running Vista, with Fox3.0 and obviously GreaseM

EDIT: I've even tried to slow my cursor speed down and sped up [double click] to open files under Mouse properties to no avail.

On CCU, when I try to fort. from the quad to the Cafeteria (which does connect). A pop-up comes up saying that they don't connect. After a few tries it finally listens to me. This is the only map I have experienced it on.

ok, i've successfully recreated your problem. apparently firefox 3 will highlight images for you if you click them while holding down the 'alt' key. i was also able--although inconsistently--to highlight the map while holding shift and clicking it. i never ran into this problem because i don't usually use the auto-advance feature, and i right-click instead of shift-click for auto-attack. anyway, i should have a fix in the next version.

2 suggestions........
1. change auto advance from alt so that it neither highlights nor gos to file.
2. add a hotkey for play set and later.

Yeah I though Ed fixed it with the update. I changed from left to using right click to avoid the problem but it doesn't seem to help. I'm still getting the blue (highlight) screen.
