Actually believe it or not, no. MLB uses a formula for coming up with standings that I have in my spreadsheet. The reason he is listed 1st right now is because of the amount of games differential between you 2. But yes in the long run at this pace you would pass him.

So how far are we with this season? I know very little about baseball (it's baseball league, right? ) and as I couldn't find a schedule anywhere then I just thought that I'd ask.

There are a total of 162 regular season games. The top team in each division gets in to the playoffs as well as the team with the next best record.
