You can make fun of hecter without flaming. I didn't consider this thread to be a flame really, just stating facts that the New New Forum sucks, despite your forum allegiances.

Other facts: Norse is not, nor ever was mod, DaGip - as well you know.

I'm puzzled as to why you would use him as your excuse for leaving.
And I'm also surprised at your giving up so readily - honestly thought you had more gumption than that.

Their are some good names stacked up in their register, some-heavy weights, some great Posters that I have enjoyed for years reading.
Possibly you could go and find them again for they have lost their way.

I can chat with Xtra whenever I feel like it, I got his email...Norse decided to kick me out of the None Of The Above Forums, so f*ck them over there. What kind of lousy moderation is that? He is probably trying to get even with me for posting that he loves the Irish now or something.

Very well stated, as I try to amuse Wicked as much as possible without crossing the line into Norse-dumb (I just made up that word, LOL!) And who'd had thunk that Norse and Suggsy would have gotten off on eachother's bad sides, and now Norse and 'Gip? It just ceases to be amusing anymore, and I will have to yawn and let the Norse legend drift off into CC spamalama-ville (as Ms. Clapper had once called it). But I am not yet ready to ask for a thread lock, unless one of the mod's decides it is no longer needed.

And if Norse is not a mod, he happened to make a statement that I was no longer welcome there and immediately my membership was turned to "guest"...so who did it is a complete mystery, along with jay's posts being deleted or screwed with. I haven't really spent to much time in the New New Forum since Jay's incident, because I really thought Jay's addition to the Forum would have been an interesting character to have in the NOTA scheme, but alas, somebody pissed Jay off, which had a chain reaction with the way I viewed the moderation on the forum's. So I have been sticking with the regular CC moderation and have decided that I do like it better here, although there are some aesthetic/graphic issues with the newly installed forum format that I am trying to get used to, and i have to the most part, except for a few visual traffic issues.

I don't know what happened, Ink, but something happened the other day in which all of a sudden I had a message on the NOTA website that said that I was a guest, and I have never had that before. It might be gone now, but I ain't checking anymore because I don't want anything to do with Norse's punk ass anymore, and he can stay on NOTA and be bored to death and try to flame people that don't ever show up to deal with him anymore. (Did I just use the term anymore like three times in a single sentence?)

You need rules and boundaries. If NOTA has none, it will continue to suck. Especially if you have mod dictators who "do as they wish".

And so what if the New Forum is quiet? You don't like it, you don't post there...it's not rocket science for crying out loud.
Maybe it's a little too personal for some of you...too intimate. I for one, like it that way; I enjoy it's intimacy and it's honesty...but then I never was one for crowds.
Obviously it's too honest for DaGip and Jay to handle - then stay here where it's comfortable, where there are no challenges, where you can safely post your thoughts without fear of real reprisals.
Hell, make up stories about how you were banned or had your posts deleted....anything to save face eh?

Exactly, if people actually got intimate, or if there were some good flames to be had everyday, that would be one thing; but the traffic there is almost dead. And I still have posts that just float around with no answers. In the beginning, there was a lot of curious traffic, but now because it is so dead, it's just, as tzor says, plain old sucks.

And I didn't leave the forums because I am afraid of conflict, nor did Jay; but there is a difference between entertaining conflict and immature moderation stints by teenage bald nutted piss ants. Some of us enjoy a more mature crowd, one that has a more grown up etiquette accompanied by a little bit of ethical integrity, that of which NOTA (and especially Norse) is lacking.

And no, I don't like the New New Forum, so yes, I don't post there anymore. I made that decision when I created this post in the REAL FORUM!

The New New Forum sucks! Simple as that, that of course you are one that is prone to watching dust collect on your keyboard and enjoy fly voyeurism as they have sex on the wall.
