Tournament Drop Out

Post by Vikermac »

Question: What do we do if a tournament stops? I mean, if the tournament host quits posting or checking the tournament thread and the games aren't all completed? Is there a way to report a DB tournament?

I would suggest first to message the tournament organiser and ask what is going on - this gives the best idea what is going on. Usually it means that the organiser has either left CC or went on vacation without notifying players.

Heh, didn't put 1 and 1 together, not used to deabeat tournaments, just players

Anyway, I think that there's nowhere to report but there's a slight chance that somebody will take over (rescue) the tournament and run it until the end.

That is very useful, thank you!

And for the record, it is the King of Doodle Earth tournament. Round One took a while to get completed and Round Two...meh, not even all the games got started and the tournament is on page 4 now after I've tried to bump it twice.

just bumping it for the sake of bumping it rarely works, since most players dont visit the threads very often... like ZZ said, PM the organizer if you have doubts is the best course

Since the organizer took turns as recently as yesterday I would say that he's still active and around. I think a PM would certainly be in order.

I have no clue where the tournament that you're referencing stands, but I haven't been able to handle the abandoned tournaments in quite a while. I'll hopefully work on it off and on this week.
