Although to be fair, I was responding to what sounding a lot like a conspiracy theory...

CONSPIRACY THEORIST.
Probably not really, but you are begging for it.
Also I mentioned that to be fair, he was offering some very conspiracy theory like speculations. And I didn't call him a nut. Just because he's paranoid doesn't mean we... I mean... they aren't out to get him, you know.![]()

jonesthecurl wrote:Juan, what is the difference between your opinions and those of a real conspiracy theorist?

Come now, in front of everyone, how is what I said a conspiracy? All I said was Dems were getting shafted.
dictionary.com wrote:conspiracy theory
1. a theory that explains an event as being the result of a plot by a covert group or organization; a belief that a particular unexplained event was caused by such a group.
2. the idea that many important political events or economic and social trends are the products of secret plots that are largely unknown to the general public.
Juan_Bottom wrote:That does not mean that conspiracies do not exist, or that I do not believe in any. I do believe that American Media IN SOME capacity works for our government. I believe the same of the BBC in England.
I also believe that terrorism is made up to scare people, for votes, for money, for power, for whatever. The Department of Homeland Security has a billion dollar budget, but has never caught a terrorist.
Actually, those are the only conspiracies I really subscribe to right now. But neither has anything to do whith what I was talking about. Nor do I see how they make me a conspiracy theorist.
jonesthecurl wrote:Now, Nikolai, why do you think that Juan's calling attention to the "where you register" thing sounds like a conspiracy? Or are you referring to other instances?
