a thought...

I would love for someone (I have never hosted a tourney) to host a doubles tourney...i say the top two from each group that are going on become teams in the tourney (assuming they want to)...I for one, would love to play with Gigadakh against others, and I assume many of us grew to have a lot of respect for the way the other top person played.

Of course, I still want to continue this tourney...any others willing to go with the above as well???

And yeah - dubs tourneys are fun - there are 2 feudal dubs tourneys in progress at the moment - 1 hosted by Diamonds14 and another by LFAW and T-O-M. Keep a lookout in the forums - new tourney's start every week.

This tournament is singles though. DomQuebec is the reigning singles feudal king on adjacent settings - here we are trying to find the singles feudal king on varied settings. So I'm not keen to change it to a dubs tourney in mid-stream.

If you would like to set up a parallel tourney using the top 2 from each group here as dubs teams - you are most welcome to do so, and you will probably find most of the guys will participate. But that would be a separate tournament.

I am not able to host a tourney...and i would not want to change the current tourney (sorry for not being clear)...I would love for someone to have a doubles tourney and invite those to play...thank you for clearing that up Harry

Now we get into the meat of the tournament.
The groups for phase 2 have been finalised except for 2 players which will be decided by tiebreaks still in progress. The groups are shown in Section 3 of the opening post.

The first cycle of phase 2 games has been created - thanks Tammy - and have been sent to players. If you have qualified for phase 2 and did not receive my pm - let me know.

A few phase 1 games are still in progress. I have updated the group standings in section 2 of the opening post and will continue to update these until all the games have been completed.

For those of you who did not qualify for phase 2, heartfelt thanks for taking part. It has been very competitive and I think all the qulaifiers are a little relieved to get through - it has not been easy. The tournament has also been played in an excellent spirit of sportsmanship - thanks for that. I hope to see you all over the board sometime and hope too to see you in my next tournament.

No, i don't want to win by default. I want to win this tournament by my own personal strength. But when i myself make a tournament i have a limit for about 3 days for the players to join their games. If they havent joined, then they lose by default. So i was just wondering if there was something similar here.

Also, you must have had a very bad childhood.

Hi all

Firstly - apologies to Gudor. I prejudged the game Gigadakh vs Johnny Rockets in Group A as a win for Gig and so had the group tied at 9 points each for Gig and Gudor. (You would think 4 castles to 2 and about 40 extra disposable armies would be telling - but Johnny managed to pull it out of the bag - well done Johnny So in fact, Gudor is the group winner, which means that he should be in Group Q and Gig in group R for phase 2. Seeing as games have already been completed with these players in phase 2 - I have left things as they are.

T-o-m has won his tiebreak and has taken his place in group S for phase 2 - where he has already completed 3 games (2 wins). The last tiebreak between The Chosen and sd031091 is still in progress - hopefully we will have a result there in the next day or 2.

I believe as it turns out the groups for phase 2 are pretty well balanced. No easy rides for anyone

Group Q: I brigadier, 2 colonels, 2 majors, 1 captain, 1 Sergeant FC and 1 corporal FC. Average ranking points = 2121.
Group R: 2 colonels, 2 majors, 3 captains and 1 lieutenant. Average ranking points = 2216.
Group S: 2 colonels, 1 major, 2 captains, 3 lieutenants. Average ranking points = 2120.
Group T: 2 colonels, 2 majors, 3 captains and 1 lieutenant. Average ranking points = 2171.
