Still Waiting on that Law. Not to say what you claim is not true but from what I understand, A company has the right to waste money in whatever way they want....... as they do it all the time now. Thats usually when they go out of business though. Corporations have an obligation to their stock holders but I don't know of a law that mandates they "must" have the highest profits possible but Stockholders will mostly push for it. Most businesses don't have stockholders either.

I just heard today about one of the former Obama campain workers who spilled the beans that acorn had a list of donors to work off of given to them by the Obama campain. No ties to them huh? He only donated almost 1 million to Acorn and now gave them his Donor list to work off of so they could have more money to commit more voter fraud.

The Acorn does not fall far from the Obama tree!

I also heard Obama say in his 1/2 hour propaganda ad that if you make $200,000 or less you will not see a tax increase. I thought it was $250,000? Well, it wont matter after those "Evil" bush tax cuts expire in 2010 because then all our taxes will go up anyway.

I'm having trouble remembering the specific law actually, I can't seem to recall the original corporate charter either... It was shortly after they became recognized as "artifical persons." The law says that if a corporation can make a profit for it's shareholders, then it must. With the exclusion of course of selling out.
I do know that you have to have your corporate president sign off on the law when they file their articles of incorporation. But It's right on the tip of my tongue. Maybe someone like Oaktown or Player can remember the law.... I haven't delt with any corporations for like 2 years.

And again, if you would, pleas cite what the crack you're talking about? You would ask my sources while you yourself have none?

I am not sure what you want me to cite so maybe you could explain or just google the topic yourself. I also already explained to you what Socialism is right after you asked me so go back and read it.

I did look for your law and could not find it so thats why I am asking you to show me where. Again, I am not saying it does not exist just that you seem to be sure and I can't find it.

It is a ppart of the Corporate Law, though I can't remember the exact provision. And for some reason, it doesn't seem that anyone else knows. For some reason, Google isn't giving me the exact provision either, just wording from it.
the directors and officers of a corporation shall exercise their powers and discharge their duties with a view to the interests of the corporation and of the shareholders....

PopeBenXVI wrote:I did look look for your law and could not find it so thats why I am asking you to show me where

Read the Corporate Law, specifically I think, the provision about governance. I went through this once, and never want to look back again..

I am talking about how Obama is a socialist so you can't vote for him, but McCain is less of a socialist so you can.

Each state has its own corporate law, but most follow a model corporate law similar to you post Juan. Federal law governs through statutes like the Securities Act of 1933 which governs corporate conduct. The law that defines the corporation as a person is state law and may vary from state to state. I believe that there are Supreme Court decisions that have found the corporation to be a person for limited constitutional purposes. It is a big area and there is no single law to answer the question, however Juan is essentially correct.

Thanks for the info, I don't see how it mandates max profits though. I already admited Mccain has some socialist tendencies along with many others in Government and that I am not happy with him. I see the entire package of Obama being much worse. His Healthcare plan of having government provide healthcare for all Americans is Socialism as it would be paid for by us in our increased taxes that he will allow and inact. Don't know what else you want to know regarding that. Tax the rich more and give that money to others who did not work for it. That is not American even though portions of that phylosophy are already in place they can become much worse.

Can any B.O. Tax Plan supporter explain to me how 95% of American's will get a tax cut when about 40% of American's don't pay income tax? I know math was never my strong point but can you try to explain that to me please? I keep trying to figure it out but all I come up with is that he is full of it.

95 - 40 = 95?...........Hmmmmm, maybe I am not accounting for taxpayer money going to Acorn

You might find this helpful http://www.taxfoundation.org/news/show/22652.html

So 95% of us will get a tax cut but 40% don't pay taxes right now........ my calculator must not be working right. It still shows he is full of it.

I was pretty sure already but it is just as I thought. You can not opt out of Social security. The governement mismanages 12-15% of our income there already so why should we give them more taxes to mismanage a governement run healthcare program under Obama's Plan. I forget, who was it that claimed SS was not manditory?

The more taxes we pay the less freedom we have.

I guess it could also be called the cut your pimp gets. I am sure Obama's tax plan will take more though.

So Popey, I am curious.

If those 40% you focus on were removed from the plan...essentially only those who paid taxes saw a benefit. Would you like Obama's plan then?

Why I'm Voting for Obama

Postby InkL0sed on Tue Nov 04, 2008 9:16 am

1) Obama is black. I can't resist black guys, they make me hot.
2) He is particularly sexy. I'm hoping if I vote for him, that might one day get me in his pants.
3) I hate America, and nothing destroys America more than a young, exciting President who makes good speeches. He's like our own little Anti-Christ! I love it.

Why I voted for Barack Obama

Postby got tonkaed on Tue Nov 04, 2008 10:44 am

Because i was out of the country and therefore had to vote already. Its called absentee voting. Consider it any time you wont be around on election day.

For the rest of you, go vote or something, you should have some kind of day off.
