Copyright issues. Now we have Classic Art and Classic Shapes. Same game play though, just takes a little getting used to.

You would think you were pulling teeth with some of the answers you are getting.

That's what I was trying to figure out. I have few business email accounts but couldn't find it in any of them :( I had to start this one and pay another 25 bucks :( it's cool though, I dig a fresh start. Thanks for answering my question guys, see you on the battle field :)

As a kid, we played on a 1963 edition that we got cheap at a garage sale... the following Christmas my parents got us a BRAND NEW RISK GAME which used plastic pieces. We played it once and put it away for good because we all preferred playing with the wooden blocks... lol... my parents were perplexed when they saw us playing with the old one in the ratty box...

Today, I have a 1959 game, a 1963 game, a newer CastleRisk that we never use, and RISK 2210 which is pretty cool, but it rarely gets used because when we play they want to use what they already know...

I really want to get my hands on the original 1957 French board game... called La Conquete du Monde (The Conquest of the World)...

So the classic maps that are in existence now are just in the same basic shape as the original RISK map?
