sometimes a message takes a long time to leave the outbox

Post by PaulusH »

I could use some advice on this :anti-geek:

It is not a bug, since the message is still in the outbox
But it is hampering me as organizer to let a tournament run smoothly

I did send on the 4th a reminder to enter a game in one of my tournaments and two days later it still is in my outbox :(

The message will remain in your outbox until the recipient reads it. This is a nice feature, as it lets you know if they read your pm and ignored it, or if they haven't seen it yet.

Did you create a time limit for people to join games after you pm'd them? Depending on what you've decided on that matter, you may want to try and get a reserve in place.

Yeah, what jennifer said. The Outbox tells you the messages that were not opened and the sentbox tells you the messages that were.

I was wondering why

I assumed it was because the recipitents inbox was full

Thanks for telling us :)

Ok. I didn't know that.

Yes, it is clear now.

I will replace the person by a reserve.

Thanks for the fast response, at least much faster then the response on message send

Open question: What happens with a message to more the one person ?

as long as 1 person reads it, it will no longer appear in the inbox

which can be annoying, as if you wanted to know who hasn't yet read it, then you would have to send everyone there own message
