Death Note first 17 episodes and The Director's Cut!

Post by Utafar »

Though it has probably been brought up before. Anyone a fan of Death Note? Just this weekend my older sister showed my the first episode and I got hooked. I finished the entire series within two days. It's THAT good, one of the best Anime I've ever seen. I'm telling you, this shit is EPIC!

Give it a chance, skip the opening song thing if you can't stand it, I know I can't most of the time.

Death Note

Death Note is the best manga in a long time as well. Though Monster is also really good.

I loved the series up until a little bit after L died. I think it was because my favorite character from the first half had been Light but he was never the same in the second half of the series.

I never liked light too much after he found the notebook but what I did like was the duel between L and Light throughout the first half. L is my favorite character in the series besides Near, Matsuda, and Ryuk. I also like how they made the transition from when L dies to many years later and how the "future" thing played into the storyline. I enjoyed having a different perspective on the first half of the show.

Anyhow, I will now be adding every legitamate Death Note video I found on youtube.

That means I will be adding the entire series (English Dubbed) except for episode 35 which I could only find English Subbed and episoode 36 which I couldn't find at all. I also will add what is supposedly "Death Note Rewrite: The Visualizing God" that is from what I can tell the director's cut or something. They should be up within minutes of this post.

Indeed. I think that N was an all right replacement character, but he just seemed like a less interesting L.

Oh shit, the youtube playlist I made with episodes 18 - 34 is useless because the user who uploaded all the videos violated the rules and youtube removed the videos, good thing I finished watching them today!

Personally liked Matsuda and Ryuk but not Near. What I really wish is that they included a bit more of Mello in the second half of the show. Obviously the duel with L and Light was great because even in the second half of the series that was the guiding force.

Yeah, they needed more of Mello (I think that would have balanced out Near's unemotional attitude quite well). He was potentially the most interesting character in the show and at the end he had the most interesting part to play.
