I don't understand why the CC forums are so negative.

I don't get why people would enjoy making fun of each other on the Internet such as in flame wars.

It just doesn't make sense.

Can anybody shine a light on this?

Bunk -- that only explains why rule are difficult to propagate and do require some effort by the old timers to educate the newcomers.

The question was about meanness.

The reason people are mean, and in some cases enjoy being negative or mean, is because they really are and the forum gives them a safe place to be mean.

More importantly, these forums are full of cooperative, kind, profound, even humorous conduct. Gee, much like the real world.

Get over it Pollyanna. If you don't like the forums, concentrate on the game.

Personally I'm a fan of both Jack and Meg White.
Musically speaking Meg is the foundation.
But that's slightly off-topic.

I'm a dick myself but I just think some of the things that go on here are ridiculous.
Forums should be treated like real life; only a few dicks reside there.

Downey.....it is my theory that 75% of the posters are frustrated teenagers that need to vent

you know....the fancy new (unsatisfied) sex drive, Mom & Dad's Iron Fist, limited computer access....all the joys of being a young adult (I'm glad I dont remember that part of my life....)

The next 20% are frustrated old people dealing with the harsh realities of life...sigh. Then theres the cool, happy 5% like me

(LMAO)

There are POSITIVE groups you may seek to join here at CC where friends converse and joke...our group for one has a private forum here where we spend most of our time....

Try coming over to the tournament forums, about 98% of all mosts are upbeat and vertually no arguing (with the exception of 2 relativly recent posts being the only arguing i have EVER seen in the forum...) Most players are extremely helpfull, high spirited, and willing to work with people, no matter if the rank is low. Come take a look

are you kidding me? real life only has a few dicks? where do you live? come to the city and you'll get a new one torn into by gangsters, druggies, politicians, corrupt cops, teachers who don't give a damn about their students, the jocks, the preps, etc.

The map foundry is the same! Thats where all CC's talent hangs out being cool and what not

. Although we do get a little agreesive from time to time, not to be mean, but to make the best CC maps we can!

i dunno gimil... the foundry can be pretty rough. especially for newbs. they get treated pretty poorly, although the new batch isn't getting hazed that much (ie. the.killing.44, his buddy, john9blue is kinda new)
