Doubles Tournament Question

Post by B0TTiG »

I am running my first tournament and I have a question about setting up the games.
http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewto ... 90&t=73435

It is a random doubles tournament. And I am a bit confused in how to invite people to games and make sure that they join in the appropriate order, so they will have their assigned doubles partner?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

well... after your tournament is filled and you gain privliges, you will be able to create the games, i would recommend sending team 1 the game, waiting for both players to join, then sending team 2 the game, its the only sure way to be sure that the players join in the correct order

This is by and far the easiest way to ensure the least number of problems.

"the least "
I use this also in for the tripple games Trippel Trappel and still people are able to leave the game and decide to join again later :(
At the 12 games started I happend already two time's; in one case I dropped the game before it started. The other one is a problem now (with freemiums not able to join an extra game)
So better give tour games an extra look; preferable once an hour and that 24/7
Success

That might be an option in case you use fixed team in a bracket system.

I mix up the teams every time in a windmill system. With a windmill system you get a kind of competition in which you meet all other in the tournament in games with a fixed number of players (for instance always 6 players).

Good news everybody :!:
At entering a team-game you have the choice which team you enter =D>
So all 6 people of a tripple game or a double game can enter in random order as long as they enter in the correct team :geek:

Still one bad thing for me: in my predictions about how long a tournament would take I did use some extra time to get the tripple games filled :? So most likely another prediction about time needed for a tournament wrong :(
