i sort of agree. Then new title is kind of dumb.

The new title is very dumb and almost seems like a joke forum even more so than the Tower of Babble. Foundry Discussion was appropriate, and until some other forum exists that makes that name confusing, it should stay that way.

The idea behind the name change was that we want it to be more than discussion - we want this to be a place to host competitions, post mapmaker call-outs, celebrate the newsletter, share tips & tricks, etc. Basically this subforum is for everything that is Not Maps.

I'm not wedded to the name, but I do think something more light and friendly was needed. I think we're open to other suggestions.

how about just take out the (mostly) becuase in the how to use this subforum, it says that the foundry discussion is a place for not maps, sort of

The (mostly) was added to the name, as we plan to use this subforum to run future mapmaking competitions, so occasionally there will be maps in here

Being that the main forum is called "Map Foundry" maybe we could stick with that sort of theme by calling this "Map Guild" or something...a place where you learn the trade?

But besides the very good threads stickied, it's not. The announcements in the Main are the real spots, and other than that just practicing.
