It would seem that the site itself has grown a "thicker skin," and the Flamer Wars forum is now ostracized to the outside of that thick skin, as it very well should be. Those who are unfortunate enough to be inclined to such a negative mentality are the ones who are forced, in this case, to develop some stones, grow up, and act as if they were civilized human beings for a change. Acting as if you were is the first step in the long, hard climb to actually becoming one, so in addition, congratulations are warranted here for a small group of loud individuals who are now embarking on a journey of self-discovery.GENERAL STONEHAM wrote:
To those who have resisted the call to bring back FLAME WARS, go grow thicker skin. Nobody is forcing to have those who hate FLAME WARS, to participate in it.
You just can't take a "RIGHT" to express yourself and then take it away. Then turn around and say too bad!
FLAME WARS served an outlet to many, who let off steam.
BRING BACK FLAME WARS!

You used the word outlet. I accept that, but it was much more than mere "steam;" it was a virulent brand of immature negativity that was harmful to its victims as well as being harmful to its perpetrators, and overall, definitely very harmful to this site.
It was all 100% unnecessary from the beginning, and was also a huge waste of space.
It's my personal hope that the loud minority will soon discover how pleasing it is to exist above the mental platform of the animals. The majority of CC members are already on the human platform, and we are in it not for the sake of fighting, but for the sake of winning. Now that we have definitely won, the minority is welcomed and encouraged to cultivate some civility and mental equilibrium, and then join us -- in that order.
Oh, yes -- your hand is indeed forced.
Now the question becomes: Are you capable of dealing with it in a mature manner?
Well, from individuals such as yourself, known to be in the loud minority, temper tantrums are expected. I also think that your predictable (and boring) tantrums should be tolerated -- for a time.GENERAL STONEHAM wrote:Blah blah blah yadda yadda yadda wah wah wah!

Prowler, that's NOT his cigar, it's his nose that stinks.TheProwler wrote:But why does your cigar smell like poo?mpjh wrote:Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar, and childish is just childish.

Haha! Maybe all three!!!GENERAL STONEHAM wrote:Brown noser, tool or just a good foot soldier? Hmmmm

I think this mature attitude of yours is great, Klobber. I just wish this great maturity on your part extended to your rank, winning percentage, and your willingness to foe people based solely on their rank and winning percentage.KLOBBER wrote: In fact, I wish you all the best.... and yes, I am indeed on CC's side in this issue. I am proud to be on-board with this decision, as I feel that it is one of the most intelligent decisions that I've ever seen them make. Eventually, you will also develop the maturity required to sincerely applaud this decision, as the majority of us already do, as well as the intelligence necessary to just *** let it go *** -- mark my words.

Well I'm sure that the great majority wank in a most regular fashion. I've got my own poll of 25 users out of the 23,000 this month which proves that the majority enjoyed flamewars and saw wanking as a majority pursuit for all the family.KLOBBER wrote:Fortunately, the "wank" minority will have to read that kind of crap somewhere else from now on.
