Why be for or against it. I don't see why people are making such a big fuss over it. People bitch like, he's presenting fiction as fact, its wrong. Thats dumb as hell. Every movie is presented as fact to some degree. The greater the apparent validity, the better the movie. Since when were we expecting directors or writers to have this drive for accuracy. They are here to entertain, not educate. Anyone foolish enough to look at this and suddenly be turned away from religion probably wasn't a true christian to begin with. Its a movie, if its good, then i'll enjoy it. If its poorly done, i probably won't like it. I'm not easily impressed, so i guess we'll just have to wait. To the writers credit, i guess he wrote a good novel if people are flipping out about it so much. Just think about those horror movies that are like, "based on a true story" If you look up those "true stories" they're hardly related save one minor detail, but it makes it a little scarier when they try to make it sorta real. Like in Texas chainsaw massacre, the "real footage" they used. It made it scarier...
