No VT is right, as in in the center of the political spectrum.jay_a2j wrote:vtmarik wrote:There is no such thing as a liberal republican or a conservative democrat.

No, I meant what I said, liberal Republican. Watch a political show now and then will ya?
Why would I want to give ad revenue to those idiot bobbleheads when I can get the same level of nonsensical partisan hackery right here on CC?jay_a2j wrote:No, I meant what I said, liberal Republican. Watch a political show now and then will ya?
Jamie wrote:If Hillary runs, Obama won't have a 1% chance getting the Dem Nomination. If he did get the nomination, he wouldn't stand a chance. Too many racist whites, some who don't even know thay are racist wouldn't vote for him simply because he is black. Alot wouldn't vote for him becasue his name is too close to Osama. Others wouldn't vote because he looks Arab, and has a muslim name, and those people would fear they would be electing someone who would sympathize with terrorist. Others wouldn't vote for him just because he is Muslim. I personally thought he was an Arab Muslim until about a month ago. He has alot of support among the younger citizens of this country, but the majority of voters are 40+. I personally plan to cast my vote for Hillary, unless the republicans can get Colin Powell to run (unlikely). If Obama gets the nod for some reason, and i don't like the republican candidate, I just won't vote, cause Obama has no shot. The republican candidate would win in a landslide victory.
actually, he's Christian.Jamie wrote: Others wouldn't vote for him just because he is Muslim.
that makes a lot of sense.Jamie wrote: If Obama gets the nod for some reason, and i don't like the republican candidate, I just won't vote, cause Obama has no shot.
didnt say you were black, I said you were brown.. and thats what I was thinking cram.Jamie wrote:I'm not black, I'm french. I also don't hate Obama. I just don't believe he can win. It's a moot point anyway. Hillary Clinton has already announced her intentions to run, so any Dem who runs against her is wasting their time.
you have to stand in line for 3 hours to vote? do you live in russia?Jamie wrote:I'm one of millions who vote. Unless I thought he'd lose by a single vote or close too it, no point in standing in line for 3 hours to vote for someone who won't win if I vote for him or not.

also, to quote public enemy, "it take a nation of millions to hold us back."
if you tell a friend to vote and they tell a friend, etc. pretty soon you have millions of people.
if you tell your friends you're abstaining, and they abstain, etc., well that's how we got stuck with Bush. twice.

Jamie wrote:Lots of people think like me, and me thinking differntly isn't going to change them, so I refuse to stand in line to make a point. I live in Kansas City, so yes it usually takes 3 hrs in line to vote, unless you wait until about 3 or four PM, but I work, so I have to do it in the AM.

Isn't Kansas a red state? Yeah, you'd be wasting your time.

No, we got Bush twice because the Dems put up losers to run against him.
for your info, there is a Kansas City, Kansas. Granted, it's smaller, and not generally the one people think of first, but it does exist.reverend_kyle wrote:jay_a2j wrote:Jamie wrote:Lots of people think like me, and me thinking differntly isn't going to change them, so I refuse to stand in line to make a point. Jay, Kansas City is in Missouri, are you really that stupid?
this is completely bogus, Bush won every recount in Florida, and the election.Jamie wrote:jay_a2j wrote:supercram wrote:you have to stand in line for 3 hours to vote? do you live in russia?Jamie wrote:I'm one of millions who vote. Um, everyone knows Gore won the 2000 election. They counted all the votes overa six month period in 2001, and Gore had over 5000 more votes in Florida, than Bush did. Look it up. When the news was released in September of 2001, nobody paid much attention because of September 11th. Nice time for the government to release something that would normally embarrass them. Gore recieved more overall votes, and should have won the electoral vote. It is no coincedence that Jeb Bush was the governor of Florida in 2000.
