So? How do you prefer to eat your corn on the cob?

North-South (the rolodex)

or

East-West (the typewriter)

I'm an East-West guy personally.

Elaborate please.

Does "north-south" mean that you start at one end and eat circles? And "east-west" that you eat lines?

haha yes.

I just watched King of Queens last night and that's what they called it. I thought it was pretty funny, but he said he preferred N/S which is why I wondered about everyone else.

EW is good, but sometimes I'll start a little NS, especially if there's a not so good bit at the end. Y'see, I'll eat the notsogood bit first, then EW from there baby.

A follow up question, how long can you leave it before you need to floss? I'd say 15 minutes tops.

Both! I go from E/W while slowly spinning the cob, creating a sort of spiral around it. Then go back.

It's a classic tip off of KGB agents. They were all taught, during the reign of the glorious and mighty United Soviet Socialist Republic to eat their corn North/South.

You should immediately stab anyone in the eyeball caught eating their corn this way. Just explain to the judge that you read on the internet that eating corn that way means the person is a spy for a government that doesn't exist anymore, and that judge will immediately give you a medal and a cash reward.

I sometimes do this as well. I'll go N/S on both ends to make a clean line, and then E/W the rest of the way so you can get all the way to the end

yeah I'm random. But the way I actually prefer it, is to slice it all off the cob after it's all done, put it in a bowl, mix in some butter and garlic salt, and then eat it with a spoon. I find it much cleaner, and you get more corn this way.

I like to eat any leftover ears exactly this way, everything is better with garlic salt. If you like this you would love my homemade cream-style, you grate raw corn from the cob and put it in a double boiler with cream, butter, some minced onions, and spices, then simmer it for a few hours. Mmmmmmm

However for corn on the cob I like to go west to east, then I pick off any stragglers with a few south to north assaults.

well, I prefer to be watching a hot tub full of bikini clad women, but its harder to get done than you would think...as far as muncing on it, west first, and then east, and typewriter the rest of it away

For those of you who dont know what a typewriter is, it was the prototype to the computer. In fact the keyboard you are no doubt hitting with your two index fingers was based on it. Google it, you may find it interesting

Seriously though, when I was in Ohio for two years I had the pleasure of countless "cob parties" where the tables were filled with corn on the cob, massive watermelons, and other summer treats.

I could eat corn on the cob every day for my entire life. Seriously.
