All true, but I think the fact that often the high ranker (if the disparity is large enough) gets thrown the win in speed games is also a factor, but maybe this is an element of flat rate/no cards rather than escalating speed? I honestly don't know...AAFitz wrote:oh, usually without a doubt.
Its actually hysterical the difference as I drop in rank the differences that occur.
Granted, I usually only fluctuate between 3k and say... 1500 or so, but even in that range, the difference is night and day.
As a low rank, my moves get questioned ten times more often, but I am underestimated more often too.
As a higher rank, I get questioned less, but get absolutely targeted in multiplayer games. Typically, I already know its going to happen upon entering.
For one, they wrongly assume my rank makes me more of a threat...and two...have fun killing the higher rank...
This does happen at a low rank too though... Because some dont worry about messing with a lower rank, and they then ignore the higher ranked ones.
So yes...usually they are treated better, but they are often attacked more...so....you have to decide, which is better.
Myself, I get bored and move up and down on the scoreboard

It is usually subtly done, but if there are 3 players left and player C is the weakest he'll just start concentrating on the other low ranker allowing the high ranker to advance. Or maybe he'll 'go on cards' at the equal low ranker with minimal chance of making it work. Or he'll write "Sorry I have to go for my tea!" and splurge it out all over the other low ranker.
So Kyle you see that even other low rankers agree with preferential treatment for high rankers. We save you points when you lose and you help us win to save you those points.
Wonderful system.
Absolutely. Imagine what the conqueror would have to do to receive any sort of forum ban.kylegraves1 wrote:you are misunderstanding my thread i am saying that mods treat high ranker better

I am definitely not a high-ranking player, and yet I've never felt like anyone has been treated better than I have. Did you have a particular situation in mind?kylegraves1 wrote:why is this
can i pay extra for the mods to wipe my ass and ban any user who insults me? i guess this is called platinum membership. why is this going on? should not all ranks be treated the same?

Lol, Woodruff always there to stand alone against the crowds. I know I treat low ranking players different then high ranking in games. The high ranking players I assume will be smarter at the game so I think more about what they might do, whereas the low ranking players I think less and assume that when they make stupid moves they are just that... stupid moves. A high rank player I will think... well why did he do that, some sort of trick!?Woodruff wrote:I am definitely not a high-ranking player, and yet I've never felt like anyone has been treated better than I have. You only perceive that he is a dick because you are a low ranked peasant. Had you the proper breeding you would have recognized that he is merely speaking the tongue of nobility.angola wrote:Fruitcake wrote:Kylegreaves, some are just born to be peasants for all the time they breath and always seem to end up with their snotty noses pressed up against the glass wishing they could be as successful. You can't discriminate against someone because they lack luck.
(but if they lack the skill, by all means, discriminate)
Are you saying I'm poor?joecoolfrog wrote:I have found that poor players like to emphasise the luck factor and downplay the amount of skill required ,wonder whySupermarioluigi wrote:CC is 50% luck, 50% skill, and 50% $25.joecoolfrog wrote:Bad players should expect to be discriminated against, they deserve no respect

Indeed, in points one could consider you poor. Whether this is a social cc statement you are trying to make or you are just inept, incompetent and untalented at the game I could not tell...especially as you don't figure on my radar.Supermarioluigi wrote:Are you saying I'm poor?joecoolfrog wrote:I have found that poor players like to emphasise the luck factor and downplay the amount of skill required ,wonder whySupermarioluigi wrote:CC is 50% luck, 50% skill, and 50% $25.joecoolfrog wrote:Bad players should expect to be discriminated against, they deserve no respect

Cook/Cadet: Serf - fit only for whipping, dogging and beating.
Private-Corporal: Peasant - to be treated with condecension at best, bull whipped if they get out of line.
Corporal 1st class to Sergeant 1st class - True blue collar working class folk. To be admired for their acceptance of their limited horizons. Still to be lashed if they get ideas above their station of course.
Lieutenant to Captain - Jumped up lower orders. Fit for fetching his pipe, training his hounds and keeping quiet in the presence of their betters.
Major - The aspiring middle class, have potential to be more, but lack the breeding of a true gentleman. Worthy of sharing a whiskey with. "But not the best stuff dear boy, we keep that for those who are one of us."
Colonel/Brig - To be cultivated. Someone has to stand between the savage, growling masses and their betters!
General - The aristocracy. The devine, blessed rulers of all they survey. Effectively unimpeachable.
The moderators - The bobby on the beat. Currently empowered by the powers that be (i.e lack - God) to believe they have some role other than enforcing discipline on the soiled masses. This is a terrible affront to the natural state of things and is to be continuously, relentlessly challenged. Still trying to work out how you beat God though.
Such is the Fc worldview and I agree with it wholeheartedly. So get back to the stables Kylegraves, prepare your master's horse and thank christ he didn't see you canoodling with that busty wench from around the back of The Frog and Hound!
Farmers are generally little more than peasants who got lucky at some time or other. They are difficult to understand due to speaking manglish, rise at a time most decent people are going to bed, actually work with their hands and find it more comfortable to be among their real peer group at the bottom of the food chain.TheOtherOne wrote:Mr Changsha wrote:The World as Fruitcake Sees It.Fruitcake wrote:Kylegreaves, some are just born to be peasants for all the time they breath and always seem to end up with their snotty noses pressed up against the glass wishing they could be as successful. Gentlemen, what about the farmers with their inflated riches? should they even dare be considered among the ranks on nobility?
No, they inhabit another world entirely known as 'American rich'.TheOtherOne wrote:Mr Changsha wrote:The World as Fruitcake Sees It.Fruitcake wrote:Kylegreaves, some are just born to be peasants for all the time they breath and always seem to end up with their snotty noses pressed up against the glass wishing they could be as successful.
