I am not computer expert, but if you want some basic information on what an IP address is, check out Wikipedia for the basics. I think from that you can figure out what can be done if you know the IP address of someone posting on your site. I would assume that CC records the IPs of all who log in the forums and the games because they use cookies. You should be able to figure out what you want from there.

To the OP: They have a database where they can click on your name and can see all the accounts you've been using to cheat.

Caymanmew, you have basically admitted to having a multi. Tell you "friend" to get their own computer with access to the network. Sooner or later you are going to get busted for this.

They would have a record of every IP you've logged in on, most likely. I imagine once you log in, it'd just record the IP address you're using for that session. They would also probably have things like how many times you've used that IP and when.
