Candyland

Postby ParadiceCity9 on Thu Jul 30, 2009 3:51 pm

Just thought of the idea of making a Candyland-like map. I'm no map-maker so I don't have a draft or anything but I just thought it would be a cool idea.

Maybe like A looped map, where all players would start on one space, and they had to choose a color, and you could attack only along the color that you are on ahead of you. Once you at the finish territory, you could attack all of the start spaces.
Woop Woop, i love conquer club, why'd i leave for a year?
Who LIkes finishing what they started? :D

Hnnnm these ideas are very thought provoking. I'll keep on brainstorming with some of this stuff in mind.

something like chutes and ladders would be more compelling and offer some sort of feature in the game play to make it unique. candyland would be circus maximus 2... trust me, i play these games weekly with my kid...-6cd

It's not like the original board game, Candyland. Just a map devoted to candy. I know where you are coming from owenshooter, but it's nothing like that.

how would you know? paradicecity9 is the OP in this thread. until he says otherwise, i am assuming he is talking the board game. so, unless you have some other information, i am standing my original comments.-6cd

At first I was dismissive of the idea, but come to think of it, it could turn out a hit if done right. Here's my idea...

The land of Candyland would be split between several 'countries'. We could have the chocolate republic, the gummy democracy and stuff like that. each of these countries would represent a continent for players to take and hold in order to gain bonus battalions. There, simple but interesting.

mmmmm, don't think so... here is your thread, which got ZERO responses:
Subject: Candyland?
so, although you may have made a thread about it at some time, THIS THREAD is not THAT thread! so this thread belongs to PC9, and i would love to hear his ideas, since his thread actually got a respoonse. plus, it is impossible for the first post of a thread to be deleted, try again, epic failure. again, i am standing by my original post until paradice says otherwise...-6cd

p.s.-

chutes and ladders was tried right around when I first joined. I always thought it would be a fun map but nothing ever came of it.

Here I am. Ya I kinda forgot about this thread... I think Chutes and Ladders would be awesome. I'd love for that to go into development.
