But you're not just a noob, you're a n00blet...smaller, and yet far more powerful than your run-of-the-mill noob.
...I prefer a man who will burn the flag and then wrap himself in the Constitution to a man who will burn the Constitution and then wrap himself in the flag.
This would just encourage unofficial rank segregation. It's hard enough to find speed games again anyone of any real rank; we don't need more reasons for not opening public games. (My two cents...and it's probably worth about that much.)

The restricted maps were determined by how well the new recruits performed on all the existing maps. New players were restricted from maps that they historically performed poorly in, so I suppose they did surprisingly well on Feudal. Lack mentioned he would reevaluate the list of excluded maps at some future point, so perhaps this deserves to be looked at. But let's wait until those new suggestions are implemented!
Sounds like a good idea to me as well. I can't really think of any negatives to this idea, assuming that noobs means the players with the "?" for their rank. It seems a lot of decent players have been accused of farming on this map recently. Looks like a change such as this would eliminate that issue and the problems it has caused.
I recently started a thread in C&A which although met with mixed reaction and abuse from ronc, I think a genuine solution has arisen from it

Not sure how to limit the message to only new recruits put this in the suggs and bugs though. This would make it so one the new recruits know what they're getting into. This could make it so we don't have to have that block on the maps for new recruits. To further this, there are plenty of strategies, make a link to that page on the pop up.
Okay admins c'mon enough is enough. How long must the witch hunt continue?? How many more spurious accusations must be endured in the C&A forum. Accusations against people who's only crime is that they enjoy playing 5or6 player Feudals. Since I started this thread there have been at least a dozen such threads made, the time has come. Feudal is not a simple straight forward type of map, it has bombardments, large stacks of neutrals which must be dealt with, and also those tempting little village bonuses which are attractive for a n00b to take but then give their position away. Also this maps pretty green color seem to attract "?" like a flame draws a moth to it's demise.
