If lack decided to implement it then I'm sure he would choose a mod or let it be open to apply. However the flaw in the plan is that the group might implement the idea just for the colored name.
a.sub wrote:you know, since we are getting new mods anyway, would it be ok to have people sign up for a recommended spot?
ie: i want to volunteer for a mod position for say "Moderating Surrender Use." so if you thought creating a surrender button that requires mod approval is a good idea, then you would say "Ok we are going to think about this more and see if its even possible. If it is possible an its a good idea when held to high standards, then we will implement it and make you a mod."
(btw i dotn want to become a mod because A) i dont have enough time and i know mods put in a lot of time and hard work, and B) i dont always post like a mod should, some of my posts are borderline rule breaking tho i have never technically been punished.)
squishyg wrote:I think it's fine that you're asking for open applications, it seems to be making a lot of people happy that they have a shot at a colored name. I must admit that I don't have a clear sense of what you're looking for and what those people would be doing. I looked at the team cc list and you already have a roster of mods who appear to oversee a list of boards.
What would be the function of new team members? Are you looking for additional mods to oversee particular boards? Are you looking for people to create new roles on cc?

Thanks for your question, a.sub. We are looking for a wide variety of Volunteers, however, we aren't looking for Volunteers for something specific as "Moderating Surrender Use" or the like.
