So which of these options is the best in your opinion? Keep in mind you can select two. You can judge them based on how fun they are, how much skill it takes to play them, how popular they are, etc. If you can, explain the reasoning behind your choices.
My first vote would go to TF2; it's fun, popular and requires a decent amount of skill.
My second vote would go for Quake Live, since it takes the most skill out of any game on the list and because it's continuing the legacy of Quake 3.

Does the Conduit even have multiplayer? I excluded it from the list because it's not really 'famous' like the other choices.
Voted CoD4 and Halo 2, didnt even realise TF2 was on there, I love that game. There so many good FPS's nowadays that its hard to pick and choose between the top 5.
TF2 hands down. It`s so cartoonish and yet hardcore at the same time. I also love the fact all the classes have different speeds, weapons, abilities, and hit boxes. In CoD there are perks that make you different from most others, but you still have a speed based on your weapons carried, and your hit box is exactly the same as everyone else.

Despite being xbox exclusive, it still has 10 million players or something. Resistance has like 1 million tops.

What part of "BEST COMPETITIVE GAME" don't you fucking understand? All of those games on the list have large competitive communities. What does Resistance have again? Oh right, a couple of queer little 12 year old punks who think such games as Little Big Planet and that Crab BS are the epitome of skill-based FPS.
Go look up "resistance 2 frag" on youtube and see what you get. I'll give you a hint, there're two (LOL) frag videos followed by about a dozen shitty walkthroughs all posted by the same guy. Now look up Halo 3/TF2/Quake frag vids. See a difference? Hell yes you do.

I think Microsoft is the worst console company and I think Halo is average. But I guess anyone who doesn't share your taste in games is a fanboy, huh? Well, whatever, still doesn't change the fact that Resistance is a shitty game with no competitive community.

TF2 and halo3 got my vote but Farcry 2 is also really good-I don't think any other games have anything like the same level of custom content and it really adds a lot to the game to have a completely new map every round that everyone has to learn from scratch.

COd4 > Cod 5. The maps are much better thought out and much more fun. The only thing #5 has going for it is the zombie level (which is awesome).

I havn't played Goldeneye in ages...That game was so amazing.
Get a rom. OR, get Half-Life 2, then download the Goldeneye mod (which is, btw, very awesome), and then you can play online.
Yer roms and emulators rock! Been playing some Mario Kart recently, and trying to prepare myself to complete Zelda again but just can't find the time atm. Can you play against other player online on the Goldeneye mod?
