Telling someone to grow up is an example of a bait... In fact two of your three posts on this page contain baits.. if I was an admin on this site I would seriously question keeping you in a position of authority (waits for the standardised but your not with a taste of more bait from mpjh)

and again, another bait by a person in a position of authority on the site. it is laughable what can be said and done by extended members of the CC family, and if we in turn do them, we are banned. mpjh is a classic example. continually baiting members is one of the reasons many members scratched their heads when he was given a coloured name. the rationale of why his continued behaviour is acceptable? he is only a mentor in the cook school. regardless, he has a coloured name and should be held to the same standards of other members. his actions within this thread are classic baiting and a classic example of the double standard we witness on a daily basis around here...-0

p.s.-of course if an extended member of the CC family can call me "poopface", "jackass" and "doo doo brown" without any repercussion in another thread, why should i expect any upholding of the rules when mods are involved?

where did racism come into this discussion? and maybe you don't understand what baiting is... mpjh, you are out of control on a continual basis within the forums, flaming and baiting members, and are never punished. this thread is a prime example of the type of behavior you engage in. wonder what would happen if the admins took a closer look at your actions in turtle soup or even this thread... you continually bait members and know nothing will happen to you. this is illustrating one of the points of this thread... and the fact that you bait me with some comment on racism is just laughable. you should respect the colour on your name, even if it is the crappiest crayola in the box...-0

every baiting post within this thread has been reported, and an e-ticket has been sent. that is the first MOD-ish thing you have said in quite some time... thank you for the guidance

exactly... well put... and i don't mind the site moving towards a more family friendly atmosphere (i have a kid), i just object to the unequal moderation within the forums and the abuse of power by a few mods, which MPJH so freely exhibited within this thread... and if nobody believes a mod can abuse their power, wikipedia "wicked"... her meltdown was so epic it is part of internet lore...-0

See colton, you kept quiet and he moved on to another rant. Let that be a lesson in dealing with owenshooter. I don't mind being his target, but you should not rise to his insults, just wait a while and he will either cool down or get banned.

There's a difference between being able to playfully (at best) insult people for game related reasons, it's another to foster an environment where poisonous opinions are spouted and people's deeply held moral, religious, and political views are ripped apart and insulted without a modicum of respectful debate.

So... which is which?

I think the going forward question should be, "which do we want?"

First I need to know which description applies to Flame Wars and which applies to Turtle Soup. One of the descriptions is "being able to playfully (at best) insult people for game related reasons" and the other is "to foster an environment where poisonous opinions are spouted and people's deeply held moral, religious, and political views are ripped apart and insulted without a modicum of respectful debate". But I don't which is FW and which is TS.

and you just keep embarrassing yourself and proving the points about unfair moderation and double standards are true... you are just not a great representative of CC in my opinion and several other users opinion, and i think you give the mod squad a bad name. my offer to give you the 5 names of the mods that find you equally embarrassing still stands. feel free to toss another bait into the thread, i am enjoying reporting them and filing e-tickets..-0

p.s.-you mis-read the post about colton's situation. it was an error on CC's part to allow it to be posted, and he was the one that was punished for it. he made some bigoted remarks that he apologized for, and we have moved on. but it can still serve as an example within this thread...

Yeah, flame wars worked well. If people were pissed about things they would just take it out there, not in the general discussion or tower of bable (for some reason that is the only name I can thing of for it, what is it called again?). It made things nicer and more civil. That being said, if it were up to me, suck it up, cupcake would be a far more common response.

edit: It's turtle soup, dunno why I couldn't think of that.

mpjh, i have to agree with owenshooter here you seem to either have a personal problem with him, or dont know how to handle the responsibility of being a mod. On the other hand, if your posts are a sign that c.c. is now taking a more relaxed stance on trolling and baiting, then forgive me for being wrong. ;)

I do have to say (now don't take this the wrong way) that after all of the stuff me and owen have gone at against each other, that post just.... well I'm suprised on the last part. Not that it''s offending in anyway that it is just flat out telling the situation that happened that day. At least someone understands it wasn't really my fault.
