Other than enemies of the state or the mentally ill, it makes you wonder who these supporters of pelosi and her goon squad are.....don't it?

It's the same story with healthcare:

Democrats block resolutions from being passed and then blame Republicans when things go to shit. They are completely unwilling to work in a bipartisan fashion.

Thoughts?
Pretty arrogant and bold. They create the problem, fight against solving it, and then point the finger and blame others. They then use the same crisis they created to launch themselves into political office.

Frankly, that sounds like all politicians. The only difference between Dems and Republicans is that the general public buys into the idea that the Dems are working for them.

Yeah

It's a misconception for people to think that the political right is satisfied with Republican performance. I think the left will understand how this feels soon enough..

I won't argue that Republicans have their own deceivers because many have been caught in the past. But those are individuals and not an entire party philosophy. The thing I would disagree about your post the most is that Republicans for the most part don't create programs in the first place that supposedly are for the poor, and then deny that they're actually hurting the poor in committees. Maybe you were pretty much saying that anyway. If you can provide some examples of where they've done that I'm open to changing my mind. It's not like people are really enthused by the Republicans lately.

Right, this is what I'm saying. Democrats ostensibly stand up for the poor and working Americans. Republicans ostensibly stand up for the rich and big business. However, both parties stand up for themselves first, big business/unions second, and the rich third. Once people understand that, we should all be much better informed.

myt thoughts on ANYTHING pelosi says? SHE IS A MOUTHPIECE LIFETIME POLITICIAN from SAN FRANCISCO and a LAWYER! therefore, everything she says is tested and brainstormed and aimed mostly at average joes and media repititions.

I'm not too sure what this video was trying to prove. The republicans were in power of the houses and white house long enough to pass the regulation that they saw fit for the financial sector but they did not. Showing some Republicans talking proves nothing, actions speak louder then words and the actions of the Republican party on financial regulation were most definitely wrong.

So...

um, 2 republicans wanted to regulate them.
There was a couple out of context quotes from Pelosi.

What's this supposed to prove exactly?

I know you're not here in the US, so this is not so much directed at you, but this is something else to put on my list that pisses me off.

If the Democrats are your party, and you think they are a better party, and they want to increase regulations to stop corruption, scandal, broke economics, etc., you should hold them to a higher standard than Republicans. For a Democrat to say, "But the Republicans didn't do it" is childish. Honestly, this can be applied to Republicans too. If your side doesn't do it, you can't complain about the other side not doing it.

I would criticise the Democrats if they had been in power for the past few years. I've criticised Clinton before for expanding the deregulation of Wall Street, and criticised British Labour Party for their actions over the past 12 years. Its just in this topic I had to criticise the Republicans to hit back at the clearly biased video.

The video is not biased because you don't hear Republicans screaming about deregulation. Instead, you hear Democrats screaming about deregulation when they have done a lot on their own to ensure that their pet companies/departments are deregulated. That's the point of the video - to highlight the hypocrisy.
