I was thinking that it might be good to have an agreed-upon "blacklist" of people that mafia mods would refuse to let sign up for their game. The purpose of this would not be to keep less experienced/less skilled players out (we can teach them), but to keep deadbeats out.
If you join a game but then don't ever post, message anyone, ask to be replaced, or respond to prods, then I'm sorry but you're an asshole that is diminishing the quality of the games hosted here and you shouldn't have a right to participate, in my opinion.
What are everyone's thoughts on this? I know it's been suggested before, but it seems that deadbeats are killing us around here.

If they're that inactive you generally won't ever see them again anyways. It's just a game, it's preferential not to deadbeat, but sometimes it can't be helped. If the person is blatantly cruel to everyone they are generally banned before too long anyways. Besides if be oust every single deadbeat we won't have enough people for a C9.
True enough. I speaking more of repeat offenders and the particularly rude, as we all make mistakes sometimes. I also didn't mean to suggest that such a blacklist would be permanent, but more a penalty/punishment/suspension from games for a predetermined length of time.
That said, you make a good point that beggars can't be choosers and we don't really have the bodies to spare. Still, it kills me when I see a good setup fizzle because the first week is spent complaining about and voting for deadbeats, which seems to lead only to more deadbeating due to a slow start.
Are there any better ways of resolving this?

Another thread showing how desperate things are, i would get more actively involoved myself but I don't have the time and would just end up abandoning things again.
