Not really sure who they could have been talking about. The only two names which come up are Waheguru (which is the Punjabi for God) and Guru Nanak (who was the founder, but I've never heard anyone ever describe him as a god)

No, I have a fuzzy recolection of it starting with an R but that could be totally off. It may have been some leader of the church in Burnaby or something. I think it must have been a joke I didn't get. They were fairly amused, like I mentioned the Sikh guy was sort of laughing. Now I extra regret not asking more. Oh well you did clear it up kind of with what you said.

That's how wierd things get started. If I had started telling people, "The Sikhs think ******* is god." Next thing there's a bunch of missinformed people spreading it around.

In Canada I believe that is Anglican but I think name was changed in US due to fact of anti-UK feelings 200 years ago in US

Well there is a reason why I have them under "Christianity:catholic" "Christianity Orthodox" "Christianity: protestant". They are all Christian if different versions of the same religion, I would think Mormonism is simply an extremely different from of Christianity. Maybe I should have put Christianity: other instead.
