The last time I attempted to load FireFox my computer blue screened every time I selected Firefox. Then, I took my computer to a company that services computers and had them load firefox. Same problem.72o wrote:It's silly for you to complain about something you have the power to remedy yourself.Queen_Herpes wrote:It doesn't piss me off that you added it to BOB. It does piss me off that a perfectly reasonable suggestion has gone without update from the powers-that-be--yet the people who run BOB have quickly added it to BOB. This indicats that it is a really helpful, useful addition that people want to see. Unfair to force people to change their browser or add a script to get more out of the game.sherkaner wrote:Sorry for pissing you off. But it is a nice feature to have in BOB, so I put it in. I guess LackAttack would be slightly hesitant to this change, since it seems to be the place where mods have some additional links too (Nightstrike said he didn't like the position). Which creates the need to make it optional, and Lack kept the amount of options per user very low so far.Queen_Herpes wrote:And those of us without BOB are just pissed.VampireM wrote:thats a start while we wait for the site to add it
Just a guess though, maybe Lack will find a way to implement it.
That's like bitching and moaning that Halo 3 is only made for the Xbox360. "OMG my PS3 doesn't support it and I'm not about to buy an Xbox for Halo 3. I made the suggestion so Halo 3 can improve, not so those-who-have Xboxes can get another cool game added to their already long list of cool games that they get. Unfair to force people to change their console to get a game they want."
Or that an iPhone app doesn't work on your Blackberry. "OMG my Blackberry doesn't support it and I'm not about to buy an iPhone for it. I made the suggestion so the app can improve, not so those-who-have iPhones can get another cool app added to their already long list of cool apps that they get. Unfair to force people to change their phone to get an app they want."
If you really wanted a solution to this problem, one is available to you, albeit through a sacrifice of some kind. Just like everything else in this world.
Suck it up, cupcake.
Nope, ten seconds is an eternity in the online world. Welcome to it BTW.nagerous wrote:If you're really that interested, just do a simple search on the game finder, it will take like 10 extra seconds.
I didn't say it was easy, I said it was possible. Actually, I said, "If you really wanted a solution to this problem, one is available to you, albeit through a sacrifice of some kind." In this instance, the sacrifice would be either a) a new computer (money), or b) figuring out what is f'd up with the one you've got (time). You'll find that most problems in life can be solved with sufficient amounts of either.Queen_Herpes wrote:

So, you're wrong, it is n't that wasy to do. For whatever reason, my operating system or some other aspect of my computer doesn't like firefox. AND, IE8 doesn't appear to be able to handle the BOB script or any other scripts for CC, so your comment FAILS.

OMFG, not everyone has cash and time to deal with this. I took the comp to an expert and paid for them to attempt to load Firefox, I did as much as I could. The point here is that I made a great suggestion....so great that it was added to BOB. Ultimately, I'd like to see it available for everyone to use. The scripts arenb't available to everyone...even ones like me who would love to use them and have tried to make it happen...congrats on having a comp that runs BOB.72o wrote:I didn't say it was easy, I said it was possible. Or you could do the game finder search like nagerous said.
Or you could continue to bitch and moan about it because you don't really want anyone to solve your problem, you just want them to sympathize with you. You and my wife would get along great.
I am surprised that you have problems installing Firefox. I can't recall the last time Firefox did anything unexpected, let alone went to the blue screen of death. What OS and hardware do you have?Queen_Herpes wrote:The last time I attempted to load FireFox my computer blue screened every time I selected Firefox. XP and a Dell Inspirion 6000. I've been told there is probably a problem with my motherboard. Another tech told me that there is some issue with the BIOS on my system not handling "big" changes. He couldn't figure out why Firefox would be a "big" change and just decided that my system was an anomaly and recommended that I buy a new laptop. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrender516 wrote:I am surprised that you have problems installing Firefox. I wouldn't know about any motherboard problem, but I have XP running on a Dell Dimension 2400, and Firefox is my best friend. I do wonder whether you have a virus or other problems in your installed software, perhaps caused by those little errors in installation/uninstallation procedures that always seem to creep in (not your errors, the software's). Do you see other anomalous behaviour? Crashes or lockups? Sometimes the best way to clean these things up is to reinstall Windows from the original disks.Queen_Herpes wrote:XP and a Dell Inspirion 6000. My suggestion is now part of BOB....but not part of the new integrated BOB that lack just added to the site.hecter wrote:"Show all games together"Queen_Herpes wrote:karelpietertje wrote:yay:D:D

Thank you Stahrgzer, you are right....this needs to be implemented. There is an inherent unfairness on the site that allows for a benefit to those players ho are capable of downloading scripts. The deck is stacked in favor of those players. FIX IT!stahrgazer wrote:I agree, this suggestion should be put on a to-do list.
Nice for those who can use FFx and BoB, but...I, also, have a problem with Firefox.
Oh, I can install it, even open it, but my system won't handle it; it freezes up on me whereas IE does not, except when I'm trying to play speed or freestyle games on CC; or try to play a game after having been in livechat or with too many things open.
It's a RAM problem I have, yes... but I recently tried to fix that by installing new RAM. My system is rejecting the new cards (tried two different sets, each of which was supposed to work). One set were 2-g cards I tried adding, then tried replacing the old... another set was 1-g cards that should've been insertable to the 2 empty "waiting RAM cards slots" but I got a mem alarm and the puter wouldn't boot up; I tried several times, each time removing even the battery so the mb would reset before I tried the next option. ALL gave me an alarm except the old cards alone, so... no upgrade to RAM for me anytime soon.
For those who wonder, my puter is an Acer with 32-bit Vista. I haven't had the cash to get my puter to the experts to see if they can sort things out and I don't yet have the cash to purchase a new computer. Until either is successful, I can't run Firefox, so can't have BoB and other addons. Boohoo for me.. yay for those who can..
But saying, "just use BoB," isn't a fix to this quite reasonable suggestion for the OP or me, and I highly doubt we're the only ones for which IE v. Ffx isn't just "a preference."
