Complete Tour of all the Maps A-Z

Postby stwman on Sun Dec 27, 2009 3:18 pm

I'm just completing my months long mission to try out every single map on CC from top to bottom.

That was fun though it blew a lot of my points for me for obvious reasons.

Has anybody else done this and if so, what are your favourite maps and recommendations?

Cheers

Thats the most joyess thing about CC...Id suggest no spoils adj tho cause some boards just make it too hard to come from if you dont have the 1st turn...My favorite board has got to be the Prison one ^.^

I don't know. Needing special help isn't giving it.

Neat Idea OP! I now have 50 games awaiting players in order to accomplish this.

Yowza, I don't think it this is something I could do! I avoid too many maps. :D

Did you use the same settings for every map, or were the settings dependent on the map selection?

back when there was about 100 maps, three other friends and myself had our own little tournament of all the maps, its a great learning experience, dont reccomend anyone playing random map setting unless you are familiar with a majority of the maps.

Wow! I'm glad to see others experimenting (better yet conquering) all the maps...

It really has felt like a fascinating and somewhat educational journey for me.

For the record I did them all with default settings and 1:1 which I'm most comfortable with (1:1) as I'm still getting my stripes on multi player games. I am just about able to win some multis where I am VERY familiar with the map.

I like the prison one too but really only cos I won on that and that mostly through sheer luck!

My all time favourite has always been British Isles (maprank me there- I think I'm a major) then World 2.1 but this tour has given me a few new favourites: Circus Maximus, 8 Thoughts, Egypt Underworld, King of the Mountains and City Mogul (thanks to azezzo) and a few others I can't remember off the top of my head. Oh and Waterloo is cool too. Oh and Rail USA I like. I definitely recommend the tour anyway...

Let me know if anybody wants to repeat the idea azezzo and his pals did...I like that idea...a gang of us going through them all!

Gilligan's Madness tournaments, and there's probably others, do this. I would suggest doing it this way if possible. It's fun to play the same players with the same settings on every map. In fact, there's one signing up now, although no settings yet decided on. http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=90&t=104929
