The new system fixes what was wrong with the old system. If you want to get to the top 10 you must play them first. In other words play some A clans.

Kind of harsh.... The real reason is that you have to have played an A ranked clan to be higher than that. Our challenge isn't officially over yet (1 game remaining). When that is over (even with the margin of victory), you will move up a little. I still think we need a 2nd kind of ranking (like a coaches poll) to go along side this one. Problem is that not everyone knows one another and it is a bit of work I imagine. JP does more than enough already.
What Incandenza said in the 2nd part of C holds true though. worry more about solidifying your teams. Ranking is arbitrary. We all like to scoreboard watch, but people know who the top clans are because they've played against them and seen the quality of game play and they've seen what the have done to others. Like I said elsewhere. I know Nemesis will bounce back with a vengeance. A tough loss either makes you or breaks you. The heart of your clan is tough. I know it will be a strong comeback.

and given that you are in clan war against TSM and you are losing, i suggest you do the same.

I will do later tonight. There have been only a few completed challenges. Many are ongoing and some on hold until the new year.

To be honest I just want to see where DD will fit in after their first win.

Maybe hang on until the end of the month JP - quite a few will have finished by then, plus it will be a nice way to wrap-up the year :D

I like having an unrated pool. Makes the ladder less cluttered. No debut on the ladder until the clan has faced one A clan and one B clan.
Sounds good ???

I'm not fond of the idea that you have to play a B-level clan. My clan is playing our forth clan war against A-level clans. It would seem silly if we had to go back and play a B clan.

p.s. We gotta get clan war wins and losses on that ranking system. Winning the clan war is the object, it literally needs to be in the equation somewhere. I would be happy to help out with developing a better equation. We'll have a good idea that we have the right equation when it yields thota number 1 and monki's as number 2.

Perhaps we could could have top clan players vote on where clans should be ranked, and then try some equations to see which one fits closely to that.

I really don't think the equation should be set up to match a vote. That really seems to take the competitive spirit out of things in my opinion.

I will continue to post the current ladder, however, I'm not going to answer all the questions about what people think is wrong with this ladder. The original ladder suggestion could not be agreed upon, however, we are getting back to that original ladder (as also recommended by admin) sometime soon I hope. Until then, please take this with a grain of salt as a simplified measurement tool.

Updated. Several clans have been promoted to A upon a cascade of events and promotions.

Sorry this one has to be the worst ever as far as the whole ladder goes. So many clans in the wrong spots. Quick scrap it!

Woo-Hoo.

Jumped up in the power rankings thanks to some strong showings as of late. I'm a bit surprised to be at #4, but we'll take it :D

GL to all clans in their upcoming matches.

According to the rankings we have had 2 A-level and 1 B-level matches, but with the new additions to the A-level all 3 of our matches should be against A-level clans (Legion, O&H, L4D).

Honestly, in my mind, the ladder looks like this:

1. THOTA (to be the best you have to beat them)
1a. TSM
2. EMPIRE
2a. TOFU (2 and 2a. need to play each other)

And then: Everyone else. Really, it's impossible to make a quantitative judgment of the clans against one another without having someone feeling their ox has been gored.
