Doubles Tutor.

Postby Mutley. on Thu Jan 07, 2010 7:40 am

Hi. I originally posted in the Mentoring Pilot Program thread, but after a few days I've had no response. I would really like someone to teach me Doubles, at any pace with any settings. Ideally, I'd like to move on to Triples and eventually Quadruples as well, but I understand that could take quite a while.

We have a school. It is rather rigorous though. All phases of team games are taught. I see you don't miss many turns and you have a good rating, send me a pm if you're interested.

I would like the same thing. I do well enough at singles games on most settings, but for some reason this doesn't translate to team games... I'm tired of losing them, would someone experienced want to team up with me and give some tips?

Sequential only please. All other settings are free of choice.

This looks interesting. I have never before played a team game. I've played lots of 1v1s and Multiplayer games in real life and on both Grand Strategy and Landgrab (which are both terrible now that I'm here). If possible, could someone please mentor me? Currently I'm freemium - obviously - but I'll be purchasing Premium soon.

Do not team with him. I sent him all kinds of best practices and chatted it up in the games and he deadbeated in all 3 games i joined as his partner.

im new at CC and recently yoined a tripples with 2 cooks, they both seemed to have enough experience (one had 300games finished the other 1000), so figured they youst don't have luck. they both played as good or even worse as me  and we lost the game in 4 rounds.

so im interested if someone wuld want to play some team games with me as partner and tutor me?

Experience does not translate to skill.

Just like rank does not necessarily translate to skill [at any particular setting or map].

Team games require coordination. A well-coordinate team can cripple the other team fast, depending on the map and drop. Conquer 4 is a good example. Almost every territory on the map has lots of access from other territories, so if it is a quads game, every player starts with 5 territories. On the first turn, if all players on Team A take one territory from a player on Team B, then that player is on the ropes. Going down a man is hard to overcome, especially in no spoils.
