I'll try to use my extensive cinema addicts (join the clan everyone) knowledge to help you. I liked the Film "Breakfast at Tiffanys" and it seemed to pay off well. One that I realize you have seen, but would be perfect or couples who haven't is Disney/Pixar's "Up." It's new, and will make you appreciate what you've got. If the first 10 minutes don't get you all cuddly with each other then that's because you stink and need a shower.pimpdave wrote: Let's start a list of good movies to watch with girls on Valentine's day.
Just trying to help. I assume you have kids. Maybe get a puppy!!!thegreekdog wrote:Divorce on Valentine's Day? I'll see how that works out.Juan_Bottom wrote:I bet divorce would be exciting in ways. Let's start a list of good movies to watch with girls on Valentine's day. Here's two I've seen before that won't make me want to hang myself rather than watch again:
Love, Actually
Amelie
(add to the list, maybe help me think of something good I haven't seen before. AND NO NOT THAT FRUITY VAMPIRE MOVIE)

Does she like womens' sports at all? If so, try "A League of Their Own". You will almost certainly enjoy it as well, particularly if you're a baseball fan.pimpdave wrote:I took the girl I've been seeing out to dinner last night instead of Sunday. There are 4 that play and 3 are married, so I guess that busts your generalization. Then again, I assumed Yetis couldn't type. I was wrongyeti_c wrote:D&D?! - And you have a wife...notyou2 wrote:I'll be giving the wife candy and a card. Eating the supper she makes and going to play D&D. I met my wife in high school. I was an athlete in high school. My wife was a cheerleader in high school. We both played AD&D avidly until we moved away from our regular group and haven't found another. We'd undoubtedly start playing again if we did.yeti_c wrote:D&D?! - And you have a wife...notyou2 wrote:I'll be giving the wife candy and a card. Eating the supper she makes and going to play D&D. So umm... AAFitz not only made the mistake of telling me yesterday about this once-imagined gift of reducing CC time for the next month, including not posting in the forums, he then went on and on this evening about how he had shared this story IN the forums.AAFitz wrote:I was going to give CD, a promise not to start any non-tournament games, or post in the forum for a month as a gift.
I decided instead to say f*** that.

So, are we to gather the last lonely chick left so quickly she smashed the door down on her way out?Snorri1234 wrote:I am going to huddle up in a corner and cry and eat chocolates.
No actually my dad is coming over to inspect the rooms with a friend and probably I'm going to do some repairing and possibly later doing some studying. Maybe I'll shop for a new door if the stores are open and in the evening go to a bar to pick up lonely chicks.

Now I realize I must tread carefully among all the extreme CC lovers among you... but since I have your (and possibly his) attention, I'm going to play the pity card.![]()
Not only am I not getting to reap the benefits of less-CC time, I'm currently sick in bed with bronchitis during what should be a lovely romantic long weekend. So, I ask all of you to find it in your hearts to intervene on my behalf and encourage the wayward & unromantic AAFitz to step up his game. (Or at least bring me some tea in bed.)
And for all you who won't see this message until well until Sunday because you actually went out to do something fun tonight to celebrate Valentine's Day... I tip my hat to you, well played indeed!

PS - I was serious about the tea. And can I get some rum in that? Thanks sweetie!

Believe it or not... Couples retreat was a good chick flick. It is disguised as a pure vince vaughn comedy, but in actuality, its done in a way that anyone over say 30, in a truly real relationship, has to find some useful ideas in the movie...and, you can laugh a few times too...though I have to admit...the movie doesnt exactly make you laugh.pimpdave wrote:I took the girl I've been seeing out to dinner last night instead of Sunday.
