DPRK children, despite what wikipedia may say, are hardly taught that except, perhaps, as a metaphorical device ... I'd note that the ceiling of the U.S. Capitol is covered with a painting called the "Apotheosis of Washington" (apotheosis being Latin to describe the idea of transformation from mortal to god) that shows George Washington ruling from heaven surrounded by an angelic host. I suppose I could latch onto that and rewrite a wikipedia entry describing how Americans believe George Washington became immortal on death and rules the world from a heavenly throne but I recognize it as heraldic metaphor and am not interested in intentionally misinterpreting things just to front western-style capitalist propaganda.

As for what I'm smoking, ACKERS! Ol' Saxi gave that up a lonnng time ago, LOL! Of course I do support legalization of marijuana ... but please keep it safe and sane, gang! You're all valuable and we don't need anyone having an accident if you choose to indulge. Let's keep it safe, gang! :)

North Korea is the premier Utopian society!

Now for more news from the decadent west..

MATT LAUER has walked out on his wife of 12 years after she furiously accused the Today star of cheating with at least two women, The ENQUIRER has learned exclusively.

After an explosive two-day fight, the 52-year-old father of three moved out of the family home - and his fed-up wife Annette is no longer wearing her wedding ring, reveal sources.

AND in an exclusive ENQUIRER interview, Annette's mother confirmed the marital blowup and that Matt has left the family apartment.

The ENQUIRER learned an enraged Annette accused Matt of fooling around during Today's on-site coverage of the Olympics in Vancouver.

According to a source, the broadcaster and colleagues "went wild" at nightspots.

Don't we have people, like crazy rightwing nutjobs Glenn Beck, who constantly use American Founding Fathers, like Washington and Jefferson as GOD-LIKE!?!?

Don't we have racists like the TEA PARTY who constantly like to paraphrase our Founding Fathers as GOD-LIKE!?!?

These counter-revolutionaries are a threat to our freedoms.

Just because they want to qoute our Founding Fathers, doesn't make them right.

The office of President in the DPRK is a ceremonial one ... the office of Queen in the UK is also ceremonial.

If the DPRK has an election with 1 person on the ballot what does that say about the UK which has no election at all?

MYTHS AND FACTS ABOUT THE
DEMOCRATIC PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF KOREA

by :) Saxitoxin :)
(a former Bezirksdirektor für Weltanschauung with the Socialist Unity Party of the German Democratic Republic)

Great Documentary on Freedom and Prosperity in the DPRK! --- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8kMfhbsYP8k

MYTH: South Korea is a shining state of democratic virtue.
FACT: South Korea regularly imprisons political dissidents. In '98 a university student (Ha Young-Joon) was sent to a ROK political reeducation camp for 1 year after he posted online writings by a US-based socialist movement. In '75 the ROK government executed 8 citizens for attempting to form a socialist political party. Numerous ROK citizens are jailed annually for criticizing ROK politics.

MYTH: The DPRK is a 1-party state.
FACT: There are 3 major political parties in the DPRK: the Worker's Party, the Social-Democratic Party and the Chondoist Chongo Party.

MYTH: North Koreans are clamoring to flee to the "paradise" of the South.
FACT: The most prominent cross-border defection in the last 25 years on the peninsula was of someone defecting from the South to the NORTH! Choe Deok-sin, who was the Foreign Minister of South Korea fled the ROK with his family to the DPRK. This constitutes the highest-ranking defection of ANY political figure in ANY country in the last quarter century. The facts of this case have been severely repressed by ROK officials. If you bing-dot-com "Choe Deok-sin" it is likely you will find no references at all --- his face has literally been whitewashed from photographs in a very Orwellian manner.

MYTH: Kim Jong-Il is the "supreme ruler" of the DPRK.
FACT: In his role as President of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly Kim Yong-Nam - not Kim Jong-Il - holds legal and titular status as the DPRK's head of state.

MYTH: The US has no diplomatic relations with the DPRK.
FACT: The US has designated Sweden the "protecting power" of the United States in the DPRK. Via Swedish officials, the US is able to provide extensive consular services to US citizens enjoying the world-renowned hospitality of the DPRK, as well as engage in up-to-the-minute diplomatic relations with the DPRK.

MYTH: DPRK citizens would love to live in North America.
FACT: The nations of North America are beautiful places with friendly people. However, the DPRK provides free, universal health care to all citizens. Why would they want to forfeit that?

MYTH: DPRK citizens blame America for the split of the peninsula.
FACT: DPRK citizens probably recognize that a myriad of complex issues resulted in the division of the two Koreas. They are likely interested in looking forward to the future and striving toward the ultimate goal of peaceful reunification rather than playing "the blame game."

TOKYO: Israel’s foreign minister on Wednesday declared that North Korea, Syria and Iran the new “axis of evil,” claiming that North Korean weapons seized in Bangkok in December were bound for Hamas and Hizbullah.

Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman claimed during a visit to Japan that the three countries are cooperating and pose the biggest threat to world security because they are building and spreading weapons of mass destruction.

“This axis of evil that includes North Korea, Syria and Iran, it’s the biggest threat to the entire world,” he told journalists in Tokyo.

“We saw this kind of cooperation only two or maybe three months ago with the North Korean plane in Bangkok with huge numbers of different weapons with the intention to smuggle these weapons to Hamas and Hizbullah,” Lieberman said without elaborating.

Thai authorities on December 12 seized an Ilyushin Il-76 cargo plane from the North Korean capital of Pyongyang when it landed in Bangkok. It was carrying 35 tons of weapons – a violation of UN sanctions against North Korea.

Flight documents indicated the plane’s cargo – listed as oil drilling equipment – was headed for the Iranian capital Tehran. Iranian officials denied they were importing weapons.

Analysts have said that while the aircraft may have been heading for Iran, the weapons could actually have been earmarked for groups like Hamas and Hizbullah which Iran has bankrolled and supplied with weapons in the past.

Well, if Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman says it, it must be true! LOL!

It's amazing what tall tales and wild yarns some people will spin in their desperation to stop the momentum of the Movement for the Three-Revolution Red Flag and impede the progressive agenda of the Juche Idea. Are these capitalists EVER going to learn?

Of course. Else the U.S. could track all the citizen's movements and target them with bombs, biological attacks, not to mention gathering valuable spy data. These are normal actions in a war zone and we have been in a state of constant war and suppression of Korea since long before the stated war. This is the SOLE reason why Korea has anything short of complete prosperity (but do note that all assertions of a better life elsewhere are pure lies!).

Wouldn't it be great if there were a government, somewhere, that was concerned about protecting its citizens instead of just giving a "green card" to private corporations to collect, use and abuse personal information on whomever, wherever without any attempt at a measured, tempered and conservative investigation into new technologies before jumping head-first into an empty swimming pool?

Oh wait - there is. The Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

Go ahead and enjoy being stamped, numbered and barcoded, though, if that's what you like. Your choice.

a nation that cant even get a missile to fly close to japan, has now developed fusion. please tell me its cold fusion or likely they will hold the world hostage with some doomsday bomb.

Everytime the world starts to ignore them, NK has to do something crazy.. you ever notice that?

Not to mention a NK hooker cannot pop a penicillin in nk without us knowing about it. We have two devoted bases really close to there one is a full time intel base. BAsically if NK has a technology, we have a technology.

In the DPRK no one has to worry about their video preferences being published to the world without their knowledge by Facebook, nor of their online browsing habits being tracked by El Supremo, the unelected Sergei Brin, and his Google cronies and sold to advertisers.

Also, the DPRK has some of the most fantastic marches put to sheet music! It's difficult to hear over the narrator but, in the background, you can hear March of the Songun Idea which, may well be, one of the world's greatest pieces of march music!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_bp3k2ka ... re=related

At :43 in the video you can see Roman Iwaszkiewicz, ambassador of Poland to the DPRK.

That's because no one in the DPRK has the freedom to make their own decisions regarding use of these things..

We could debate that all day! However, it is without debate that no one in the west has that freedom - those decisions are made by the multi-billionaire owners of the Facebook Corporation --- even an elected government authority doesn't have influence to control these captains of industry in what and how they decide to use private citizens private information.

Fortunately, the DPRK is striving toward a Socialist reality that embraces democratic centralism --- the people can not be out of any decision-making because the people own everything!

I think we'll have to agree to disagree!

You "have" the freedom not to use the telephone, but could you function in society without it? With difficulty.

There comes a point when "freedom" exists as a technicality only. The unelected bosses of Facebook and Google control the people's information, not the people, not even their elected representatives.

LOL, now ol' Saxi has March of the Songun Idea stuck in his head! I'll be whistling that darn song all day! ACK! :P

North Korea explicitly prohibits its 23 million citizens from accessing the Internet and mobile phones outside of government research groups.
So... Korea is nearly a fully prosperous country, and life elsewhere is worse than Korea? Or are you trolling?
Of course I am COMPLETELY serious, since this post is so utterly consistant with other things I have written as she says with words dripping with very heavy sarcasm
